Susie, I heart you too! Elsa, I'm sending you a PM. And if it was Allison who was all dressed up in gold and tanned at the DWTS tour, I say, go 'head n' work it, girl! Maybe Apolo really is single and looking and ya gotta give her points for not so subtly reminding him what he's missin'!

...Apolo definitely breaks the mold. I don't know about all of you, but that's exactly why I like him. He's a dark, fierce competitor on the ice...gentle, good-humored, and agreeable off the ice. He's a high achiever who reportedly is not at all snobby. Apolo is someone whose mother left him in the dust at a tender age, but who clearly loves and is very protective toward the women in his life. He's humble, modest, and grateful...but he also knows how to use his power to accomplish his objectives. He can put on a "poker face", but is also capable of dropping it to show the public his goofy, fun-loving side. He's a speedskater who can waltz. Athlete and entertainer. Asian and Caucasian. Yin and yang. As far as I'm concerned, if the public insists on putting him into their neat little boxes...let them. Apolo will just keep on doing what he does best...being himself. And someday he will be standing on that podium once again, and the tears will be running down our cheeks when the anthem plays because for a few moments we'll remember that he breaks the mold and is NOT like everyone else. And we will rejoice in that. Geez, Susie, how much better can something be said...I could vote for 'end of topic' on that note...

Wow--people have really been coming up with some amazing, eloquent stuff here. Like Lori, I think I can't possibly add any more to this, but I just wanted to chime in that my mom and I were discussing all this stuff and she said exactly what a lot of you girls have been saying here. She's got a degree in psychology and a masters in counseling so she knows what she's talking about, I think! Most of all, she agreed with me that not going after someone doesn't mean Apolo is gay--it speaks more to the fact that he's a gentleman (not going to take someone who's already taken) and probably looking for someone more mature. I'm not going to say that Julianne isn't mature--I do think she is way more mature than most 18-year-olds her age, but we have to remember that Apolo was also mature beyond his years at that age, and thus is probably even MORE mature now (believe me, I know plenty of 25-year-olds that aren't at his maturity level!!). Anyways, I just wanted to add that, because it surprised me so much how much my mom's comments and the comments here coincided. But, again! Everyone has said so much good stuff already...

You just said everything I wanted to say except so much nicer and more eloquent. It was really beautiful. So I'm just gonna say what she said.

My mom, who's also a big fan of Apolo, told me, "You know you've made it when people start wondering if you're gay -- if they don't, then maybe something's wrong!" Kind of made me laugh. Anyway, I've never gotten a gay vibe from Apolo. I just think it's hard for him to have a relationship due to his career, and that's that. And I respect him for not pouncing on Julianne, because she was an engaged young woman when they met. I wouldn't have a problem at all if he were gay, it's just that I don't think he is -- and I'm going to leave it at that until he tells the world otherwise. :-)

I totally agree....what is he supposed to do if Julianne is already in a relationship? The whole Apolianne thing has taken on a life of it's own and it's kind of silly.
I have never gotten the gay vibe from him, in fact, the opposite. I think because he actually respects women and "that woman" in particular he's labeled gay....ridiculous. Not every man tries to get in a woman's pants just because....some are gentlemen...like my husband and he's not gay.

I know it really doesn't matter, but anyone who would think Apolo is anything but straight after watching cha cha 2, with that tongue action, should do some RETHINKING. I saw it on my son's 52 inch HD tv, and it did happen, he did put his tongue in her m..... IT WAS PLAIN AS COULD BE, I was stunned! Now I know that if he were g.. he might still do the dance, that was no big deal, the pro dancers do those kind all the time, but the tongue thing no way.....

About the tongue thing -- I think it was mutual. If you look closely at her mouth, I think she also tongued him. That's what I think, which makes it all the more hot and questionable!! Fiance be d**ned!

susie, Loved your post. Thank you. Oh, and for those of you who don't have romantic fantasies about Apolo, you must be gay. *giggle* Funny! And yeah, WHAT was the tongue thing about? And I wonder why the media wasn't all over it? I couldn't believe it when I saw it. I don't have it recorded and on youtube, the pictures aren't big enough or clear enough to really appreciate it, but when the DWTS episodes were still on abc.com, you could really see it. OMG!!

See, I don't think he tongued her at all. Never did. I think people are seeing the shadow of his top lip.

I've looked at that shot so many times, my head hurts. haha
I agree, he didn't stick his tongue in her mouth, it just looks like he did. I believe they wouldn't do that because they know that would be inappropiate. Maybe some of you are seeing what you want to see.
