I can't believe that he wears those bandanas. You can't even enter the Mall where I live if you are flashing. If I said, "But I am wearing this red bandana to match my red shirt, I would be kicked out. I don't buy it at all. Can't he tie something else around his head? Tied dyed or something? I saw that he said it's because he sweats and he matches his outfits. I have only seen him in RED or BLUE bandanas. I mean how about WHITE? White is the neutral sign. I really think he is awesome but question his ties. (and not just the ones around his head) What are you trying to say Yanale??? And BTW, welcome!  But really, what are you trying to say??? Yikes! Yanale, I was trying to quote you and I accidently deleted your post. As a mod, I see a delete feature by the "quote" in each post so that I can delete inappropriate posts (which thankfully has hardly been necessary at all). I was trying to quote you so I could ask you what you meant but I accidently clicked on the delete instead. Sorry about that.  I see that Crimson quoted you, though, so I will quote her.  The reason I was trying to quote you was to ask what Crimson asked. What exactly do you mean? Maybe I am missing something obvious but I don't get it? Why shouldn't he wear blue and red bandanas? |

I think I know what Yanale means, I just want her to say it before I respond, so she can confirm what I think she is trying to say. Hopefully she will be back soon and explain what she meant. I am quite curious. |

Hola all! I was busy reading all that about the names Jerri Lee. i saw this a long time ago but I thought that was her first name . You know like Mary Beth or Jamie Lynn, and that her last name was Ohno. have a perfect day!!!

Yeah, her name is Jerrie Lee, but it could be her first name, like Jamie Lee Curtis...maybe she has a name like that.
Anyway, so Apolo has one autobiography, and then there are 2 books about him. They were both done after the 2002 Games. It would be nice if he could do something now, or maybe in the later months.
It still could happen. All 3 books about Apolo came out between May-October 2002. And it's not even May yet so it could still happen, or perhaps a book about ST or maybe even the Torino Games. I would perfer that Apolo either write something himself, or write more expanded answers on his official website. I would love to know what he thinks about things right now.

Yes and I did try our public library and there were 2 copies in circulation. But don't you know they have both been "lost", a nice way of saying someone kept them. Kind of like my computer at work. YIKES! It would be great to see a new fresh book!! Best sellers list for sure! haha!! Who is Yanlee? I think it is just sort of his "rebel" look and nothing more. I saw some road workers today with bandanas on their heads and the first thing I thought was " I bet Apolo is their idol!" ha!! |

I am really, really hoping he writes another book, or the next best thing, that someone writes one about him. He has grown and matured so much in the past four years. I'd love to know more about the more recent Apolo. Chicablanco, that is funny about the men in bandanas. I bet Apolo is their idol! |

Men wear rings all the time. And if it was an "engagement ring" or a "promise ring" it'd be on the left hand and not the right. Reading too much into this, me thinks. I think Apolo is nowhere near wanting to get married, anyhow. IMHO, I think the next thing he's wanting to do is to figure out what to do/where to go after his Speed-skating career is over. I don't think he'd want to be married unless he had a solid career going on, myself. And yes, I DID read his autobiography. Very good head on his shoulders. I know men my age who don't EVEN have their head's screwed on as well as this guy does. Way to go, Apolo. Keep it up, baby. I'm proud of you!  |
