I think we need a separate thread from "Larry King" and "Apolo News" to announce and discuss appearances now that DWTS is over ( can you believe it's over?) - I TiVoed Jimmy Kimmel last night but I haven't had a chance to see it yet. - A&J and the other finalists were on Good Morning America this morning. - Apolo is scheduled to attend the Indy 500 this Sunday. "The celebrities will attend the race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, scheduled to start at 1 p.m. (ET) Sunday, May 27. Many of the stars will walk the red carpet in the Pagoda Plaza starting at 10 a.m. and take celebrity Pace Car laps around the famed 2.5-mile IMS oval starting at 11:30 a.m." link: www.indy500.com/news/story.php?story_id=8961Any more?

A&J were great on Jimmy Kimmel! I hope someone puts the GMA segments up on You Tube or somewhere so those who missed it can see it. I watched and was delighted by the huge amount of coverage Apolo and DWTS got! They began by interviewing all three finals couples, who were seated, and Apolo's shoes soon caught my eye. Everyone else's shoes were very plain, but his were very ornate -- black and tan with an interesting pattern. It made me think of all the comments on his shoes here. The hosts gave Apolo a birthday cake with two lit candles and he blew them out! Afterwards, Apolo and Julianne helped judge the finals of a dance contest between mothers who were viewers of the show. One of the other judges was Joey McIntyre, who will be Julianne's partner on the DWTS tour this summer. When he was asked his opinion on the first couple, Apolo did a cute impression of Bruno's comment about him: "It was like a riiiiide..." Later, each DWTS couple danced. When it was Apolo's turn, Maks pulled him back by massaging his shoulders to warm him up (rubbing them, then doing "chop chop" motions, then rubbing again). I thought he was going to make Apolo miss his start. Someone said, "come on." lol Apolo did his windmill breakdance move and when he and Julianne were done, he held her from behind and lifted her. He did another little dance move like he didn't want to stop and she kind of copied him. They clearly had a great time! Toward the end, two women who were standing on the other side of the "dance floor" were smiling and motioning to Apolo and he did some odd but cute move lifting each leg and smiled and mouthed something to them. Joey was behind Apolo and had his arms around his shoulders when some loud popping sounds started and confetti fell. Apolo cringed and looked really startled, and said "Oh Whoa!" Joey continued to hold on to him and it was like he was protecting him. Too funny! As a group, they all seemed to get along very well and it made me happy that they were the three couples that made it to the finals. No one seemed tired at all, which amazes me. It was a great show, and much more Apolo airtime than I expected! I liked that one of hosts addressed him as "Champ." Ooops, I didn't intend to do a play-by-play report but I am still hyped from seeing him this morning! I'm looking forward to The View tomorrow! I watched for Laila and Joey today and when Rosie announced the lineup of guests and that Apolo would be on tomorrow, the audience groaned in disappointment that he wasn't there today. Hee! If I hear of any upcoming appearances that have not been announced here, I will certainly post the dates!

Epiphaniii, i loved the play-by-play! I haven't seen this yet (had it record, b/c of course they waited to show it until after I'd left for work), so it was a sneak preview. On another DWTS forum, people said that Julianne looked nervous (which I think could just be tired) and distant from Apolo. Of course, all those people are wanting A&J to get together and are *blaming* this on the fact that her boyfriend came back from (China??) to see her for the finale. lol.

Lindsey, I'm glad you liked my impromptu report! Later, I also read some other people's comments about the show and saw that I missed seeing Apolo feeding grapes to Julianne. Like you said, a lot of people are rooting for a real-life Apolo and Julianne romantic pairing. I hope some of his newer fans don't lose interest in him and his future athletic and entertainment endeavors if/when he admits to dating someone else. Cinny72, you can see Apolo and Julianne's appearance on Jimmy Kimmel at this link! abc.go.com/latenight/jimmykimmel/index?pn=videoHere's a link to the first part of the GMA interview on the ABC News site. I don't see the rest of the segments listed under "more videos" though. abcnews.go.com/Entertainment/DancingStars/wireStory?id=3202878

Apolo and Julianne were on Access Hollywood and ET today. On Access Hollywood, Apolo and Julianne were asked if they were a couple. Julianne yelled NOOOOO, and Apolo said no, no we are not. Apolo then said that it was good that people thought that because it meant that they have awesome chemistry.

Hi guys...new here but I saw the footage with the grapes on GMA and this is what I posted on the ABC message boards:
They just showed them in their make-up room and Apolo was teasing Julianne with grapes. He had a handful of them and he was putting them just a wee bit above her mouth as she tries to reach for them but he kept pulling them up. Then he finally just took them away all together but she was still asking them for it.
Then Apolo plucked one out and tried to toss one into her mouth and he didn't make any of them into her mouth. So Julianne was like ,"no you gotta toss it up" and she did that and made the grape into her mouth.
It was like a 10 sec clip but cute nonetheless.

It's so adorable) I also saw Apolo tossing the grapes to Julianne! I thought it was very cute and showed how good of friends they are... I heard a bunch of people saying that Julianne looked a little down after the show, but this really showed me that she's still happy and anything anybody saw needs to be attributed to the fact that they spent the whole night on a plane, I'm sure not sleeping very much!

I must really like this guy because I just sat through The View. Gads! After all that cackling I'm sure my head will be hurting well into the afternoon. It was worth it though. Apolo and Julianne were sweet as always. They did what appeared to me as a slightly less enthusiastic freestyle. They're tired and the contest is over. I totally understand. It was still quite good. There were two particularly funny parts. First, one of the ladies pointed out that Apolo was out of breath after dancing which he was clearly trying not to make obvious. His reply was a deadpan "Thank you". Also when Julianne mentioned having left home at 10 to study dance abroad, someone asked with 14 kids in the house did they notice she was missing. That made me laugh. It was also very touching when Julianne said that her next partner could never be as good as Apolo. He seemed moved too. I'm glad I got to see it because I suspect the appearances are soon to start winding down and once again we'll be hoping some network will televise one of his races. I will really miss seeing him every week. Monday is going to go back to just being Monday.

It's really nice to see that Julianne holds him to a higher standards in comparison to her future celebrity dancers. This is not the first time she's said that she's upset that he's not going on tour with them this summer.

I taped it at home, and even my dad wanted to see a guest on the View this week, but rumor has it that the show was preempted b/c of Bush's press conference this a.m. on our side of the country!! I guess I won't know for sure until I get home, but I have a feeling i'll be jealous of you, August!
