I must really like this guy because I just sat through The View. Gads! After all that cackling I'm sure my head will be hurting well into the afternoon. It was worth it though. Apolo and Julianne were sweet as always. They did what appeared to me as a slightly less enthusiastic freestyle. They're tired and the contest is over. I totally understand. It was still quite good. There were two particularly funny parts. First, one of the ladies pointed out that Apolo was out of breath after dancing which he was clearly trying not to make obvious. His reply was a deadpan "Thank you". Also when Julianne mentioned having left home at 10 to study dance abroad, someone asked with 14 kids in the house did they notice she was missing. That made me laugh. It was also very touching when Julianne said that her next partner could never be as good as Apolo. He seemed moved too. I'm glad I got to see it because I suspect the appearances are soon to start winding down and once again we'll be hoping some network will televise one of his races. I will really miss seeing him every week. Monday is going to go back to just being Monday. You lucky West-Coaster!! I taped it at home, and even my dad wanted to see a guest on the View this week, but rumor has it that the show was preempted b/c of Bush's press conference this a.m. on our side of the country!! I guess I won't know for sure until I get home, but I have a feeling i'll be jealous of you, August! I live in chicago and the president was on...so I could not see it!!  |

Dang! Now I feel sad that I possess neither the skills or the equipment to do the YouTube thing. Can't even view it myself unless I'm at work. Somebody out there hook it up please, because it was cute and I want everyone to see it. Why couldn't Bush have given his speech yesterday when the View hosts were bickering like a bunch of he|| cats? No one would have minded missing that.

Yup, the President was on at 10 am when the View is on here in Texas. The networks here usually show any preempted shows at like 1 am, so I hope they do it with The View tonight.
