Ow ow ow! Apolo's dance was smoking hot. And at least Len had something good to say this time. I voted! You better believe I did. Both dances were great btw.

WOW. They had two wonderful dances. The Paso just blew me away. Way to go Apolo & Julianne.

Apolo and Julianne brought it tonight. The ballroom portion was a bit boring until Apolo and Julianne did their tango. Even if Len didn't like it, he gave them an eight, I loved it. I mean to do a tango to a song like Jessie's Girl would have been difficult for anyone else, but Apolianne did a fantastic job. The tango was smokin'. They got two tens for this dance.

The paso was awesome even if they did dance to My Darlin Clementine. I hope this is the encore dance for tomorrow night. Woohoo, they got a perfect score for this dance, so it better be the encore dance.

Here is what dialidol.com shows for the voting so far. Of course, the West coast is still open, so this could change, but it looks good so far for Apolo! I find Billy Ray's current position above Joey a little sad, even though I know Joey's higher scores will boost him.

I gave up Heroes for tonite....and I seriously think Apolo should go into professional dancing!!! lol...was it the paso doble?...the last one...was just amazing...!!

I thought Apolo did an amazing job last night! A&J did fantastic!
Although, people on the DWTS message boards are saying Apolo lost his balance at the ed of the Paso Doble and "almost fell" I didn't see it...I may have to take another look at that...but still...the dance got a perfect score!

I think all the judges are beginning to let their personal preferences interfere with their judging - although I guess that is their perogative as judges. I think Len was miffed about Apolo's comment from last week about consistency. I think Len's also a stone cold traditionalist, and Julianne's choreography is very innovative and cutting edge and he's a bit turned off by that aspect of it. What's surprising to me is that she does consistently fulfill the primary requirements of the dance each time, and Apolo has been making it happen each time and Len doesn't seem to acknowledge that. So clearly, he's judging based on his personal taste more heavily than on how well the competitors fulfill the established criteria for each dance.

Here's what it says on the DWTS website about the Tango:

Distinctive moves:

* The Tango is a very emotional dance and this should be conveyed.
* Must see lots of clipped movements.
* The action must always be staccato.
* Look out for sharp head turning and stops.
* The hold is different in the tango. The man's left arm is more towards head level. The general hold is far more compact and the couple are much tighter together.
* Walks - Should be done with the heels leading.
* Rock turns - the dancers should rock while turning.
* Look out for the Links - these are the sharp movements in-between the walks (the head turns from the girl). These are also known as staccato movements.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with the term "staccato", it's an Italian word meaning short and marked (as in duration; think of a finger snap).

So, reading this and then watching Apolo & Julianne's tango, I can't see how they could have scored anything less than 9 out of 10, unless, of course, you are a hardcore traditionalist and you are off put by pushing the envelop of the style (Len). Apolo scored only one point higher than Billy Ray last night in Len's world!

The judges' personal bias came out again in scoring Joey's waltz. And they even seemed like they were trying to get back at one another using Joey's scores. Grow up, people!

Hahahahaha! That was way too analytical for first thing in the morning!!!

But even for Len, it's hard to argue with perfection, and Apolo and Julianne's Pasa Doble had it all. A well deserved perfect score.

Ian needs an injection of hot or something. He has a great body, but he just doesn't know how to use it. Poor guy...

Leila's waltz was sweet and endearing - so wonderful that her father was there to watch it.

They did an outstanding job last night! I'm very happy that the scores (for the most part) reflected that! ;D

Hahaha. This really cracked me up! I feel bad for the guy, too. As you said, he does have ability. It's a shame he can't loosen up and really go for it. Of course that does make things better for our guy, though.

I also feel a bit bad for Billy Ray now. Last night, I thought he made a bit too much out of Bruno's comment. I would have been hurt by it, too, but didn't think he should have bit back as much as he did.

But after hearing his comment in a TV Guide video (which was filmed before last night's show) about how he used to skip school dances because he was too embarrassed to dance in front of people, I can see how that "crap" remark must have really stung. Poor guy.

I am speechless. Almost. The first dance was great the second - my mouth is hanging open ! OMG! They are unbelievable! In a class of their own and they should win if it were based on ability.
I love Layla but sheesh-Apolo and Julianne they need to take it on the road!
