Yea I read that somewhere too. But I think it's B.S. just something interesting to talk about. I think if he were to really retire he'd actually announce it.

the last that i heard is that he was "undecided" whether or not he was really going to retire. i think youre right; it would be on the news if he was going to, because it's so close to the end of the olympics and he's still all hyped up. i really hope he doesnt retire though. :]

I read emails along that line, too, Babydoll. But I am not going to believe it until it is officially announced. I wonder if Apolo even knows for sure yet. It is a huge decision and one that would take a lot of thought on his part.

I doubt Apolo is going to retire anytime soon because he'll probably want to strive for gold. For himself? No, he alreaady has his gold, I think he wont stop until he helps the mens relay team win the precious gold medal they havent been able to get.

I doubt it, it seems as though he's at the peek of his career, I mean how old is he? Unless that's all he wanted? Maybe he just wants to take a break...there is a difference...right?

Apolo's only 23, he's still young enough to go for two more Olympics if he really wanted to!

you know i think that if he does decide to retire... he'll take up a different sport.... maybe he'll try to work on his longer tracks now that he's basically mastered short track ... or maybe he'll coach.. i just think if he decides that Torino was his last olympic games (even though it's rude deny us Canadians of American speedskaters) theres' no doubt in my mind that we will see him back time and time again doing other things

There's enough of him to go around! ;D

I sure hope he doesn't! Vancouver is just a stone throw away from Seattle, and it would kinda suck to be in Seattle and not being able to compete when the Olympics are right next door! It would also give me a REALLT nice excuse to go up to Canada and kinda "bump" into him!

I wonder if he's gonna go back to living in OTC in colorado?? (that's if he stil doing short track) think it's time for him to get a place of his own...but livin' in a dorm-like place is his way of improving in ST then i say stay in OTC.

Hey, I've been to Canada, Ontorio, on a regular basis. I have family in the Totonto and Niagra area. But I would love to visit the western part, the Yukon especially ( I love the untamed, unchartered lands) and also would be honored to meet a Mountie!

I think it is really his decision, I think i spelled that right, lol anyway, if he wants to retire im proud that he was chosen a wise decision. Personally for me 1 more olympics wouldn't hurt or 2 lol,
