Last few replies over in Apolo News has been about Apolo being on Twitter (or so we think!). Just started on July 18th and has made 5 replies. If this really is him, this will be loads of fun to follow. For those (like me) not wanting to actually have a Twitter account, you can still be part of the fun of reading what he tweets, and see who he's following and replying to. www.twitter.com/apoloohnoAnyone else with a twitter account can help educate those of us haven't had much experience with it. About time we heard something from the boy!

Interesting that his last tweet was to Bonnie Blair, regarding a birthday greeting she tweeted on April 15...hm.....his birthday is late May! Maybe he's just checking out other peoples' tweets and having some fun....

I saw this last night and hope it's real so posted it on another thread. According to his followers, it seems real. You don't have to sign up - you can just follow his comments. But if you want to comment back, you have to sign up. It's easy - you just sign up with your user name and e-mail address. You don't have to use your real name. You don't have to get highly involved. I am optimist and gullible so really hope it's him. It'll be fun to follow his journey a bit up to the Olympics. GO APOLO GO! OK - Apolo is already up to 98 followers since starting on Saturday on Twitter, but -- hey -- Lance Armstrong has 1,544,897 followers. You can just read them if you want, but to "follow" him, you can just sign up and can be completely anonymous if you want and you don't have to say or post anything. And it is absolutely, definitely him. It's so cool. Here's his last two twitters / tweets (or whatever you call them) from yesterday: “Never give a sword to a man who can't dance.” (I looked this up - Confucious said this) 100 Degrees outside. 1-Leg Explosive Jumps. 400m Sprints and 800m Sprints. The mind is amazing - It did not even feel hot outside. PUSH! www.twitter.com/apoloohno

When I first signed up for this like 2 years ago, I looked up everyone I could think of, but its only now that everyone is getting one. Funnn...

Ok, here goes another dumb question from me, I apologize for my ignorance. I opened a Twitter account and am now "following" him but what is the difference between that and just being able to read what he writes without a Twitter account. I can't seem to get anymore information from his Twitter now that I am following him than I did before. DUH!!!!

Hi goaao -- you don't get any more information, but it now registers that you are following him (and he's up to 109 now!). And, if you so choose, you can make a comment. And, you can follow other people and have people follow you if you want to join in later. Play around and look at other Twitters like Lance Armstrong's and Ellen's etc. Lance's is amazing - he's doing quick daily updates from the Tour de France. I hope Apolo does something like that at the Olympics, etc.: twitter.com/lancearmstrongAnd Apolo is "following" Lance. I know - I don't really get it yet either. I was thinking about it this morning as I was driving to work and listening to the radio...Facebook reminds me more of TV with programming, pictures, video etc. and Twitter is more like listening to an AM news radio program with constant news/weather/traffic updates. Yeah - information overload but so fascinating at the same time.
