What a great find, aofreak! Thank you. I know it's really him. I love his last tweet: "Cashed out....dreaming of fast lap times and dancing skills....while I'm at it- throw in a good r&b singing voice...I've always wanted2sing" I was just thinking...since Apolo obviously loves to dance (and is excellent!), I would love to see him have a part in the upcoming remake of "Footloose" -- he would be a stand-out. Kevin Bacon was 26 when he made the original and Apolo is 27 (although Apolo obviously wouldn't star...but he's the perfect age). It's in pre-production now and is scheduled to be released on June 18, 2010 but Apolo is heavily training now for Trials and Olympics so not possible. But if they could just wait until after February 28, 2010 to start production, that would be golden (but obviously too late). heheeee. Kenny Ortega is directing/producing the new one and he's directed all of the High School musicals. He was also directing Michael Jackson's tour. And it's interesting that he was also one of the directors of the 2002 Winter Olympics Opening Ceremonies. It'll never happen, but fun to think about. But I'm also very looking forward to Apolo hopefully being the speed skating analyst at future winter Olympic games.  But in the meantime, Trials and the 2010 Olympics! Yes! |

I am anxious to see what he does once he retires from skating. I hope he chooses wisely, he has worked so hard on his image, he is well respected and very classy. Those Hollywood people all seem to be such a mess, I would hate to see him involved in that. I would love to see him in broadcasting or something along those lines but the acting thing just doesn't seem the right fit for him. He is so intelligent, well spoken and seems like he has so much more to offer than being a movie actor. Just my opinion for what it's worth.

Okay y'all... here is what I tweeted (on Twitter) from Vegas, when I saw Apolo's Avi!
"Holy Smokes!!! Apolo's Avatar is the same as my avatar photo (that I shot) for the GotApolo website... how did that happen???!!! LOL"
11:11 PM Jul 28th from web" I don't have that exact pic on *Photobucket* (that I'm aware of).  That particular photo is not here on GA cos it was in the stages of being cropped with software... so Apolo couldn't have gotten that exact photo (that he used) here at GA... but I do have it saved in my own files and I have given printed photos to other peeps. And, I have not spoken to Apolo since January!  We just returned from *HOT* Vegas last night. |

Wow, wow, wow! Thank you aofreak! This is so wonderful and insightful. One of the best interviews I've seen! Thank you so much for sharing this! I love how he talks about his foray into electronic social networking and why he's doing it. Smart. MySpace, too? Yikes. I haven't had luck finding his Myspace but his facebook address was easy lol. www.facebook.com/home.php?#/ApoloAntonOhnoI became his friend and I'm pretty sure its his, as one of his friends is Dave Creswell. The pics in his profile are also all the ones he's been using at Twitter (like his new bkground). Theres a couple of new shirtless ones too |
