For sure Ohno’s suit shows off best
Those convex contours south of chest
Are our boys from the States
(and I’m not talking skates)
Just better equipped than the rest?
Or perhaps it’s a Yankee conspiracy
For an edge, for some macho supremacy
Could they be stuffing suits
So that more of us root?
Ohno would say “No, that’s just blasphemy!”
Lori--you are a natural! Doggerel suits you. Loved them both.

I don’t know about you Lori, but I vote we let “the master” finish off this little double-dueling doggerel fest. Thanks all--it’s been fun.

I'm not fooled by your coy protestations. Not all pure are your fan adulations. I know what you ponder And where your mind wanders When his hips do those mambo gyrations. And the way that his skin suit does cling Makes your hormones and radar go "ping!!!" If that aint a fact Then I don't know jack 'Bout attraction that makes a girl sing. Even though he's not really my type. Too young and too Hollywood hype. An aura he's got That screams out "this one's HOT" And the sweat off my brow needs a wipe. I can't figure it out though I've tried All this lust is just not dignified But I'm no hypocrit So I freely admit I have noticed what he just can't hide.   |

To imply that they're bluffing
And that it's all stuffing
You know our boys gots the most.
It's shocking to say it's a fake
And so here's a deal I will make:
An envoy should go
And talk to Ohno
Have him pose for some pictures to take.
(I'm free this week and I really think we should settle this shocking allegation quickly before real damage is done to our national reputation. I, as always, am willing to serve and defend the honor of my country.)

 ...here's my first and maybe last attempt...(i am totally out of my element).
There once was a young boy in '02
who took to the ice with his crew.
Little did we know
this young boy would grow
into a yummy full bodied flavored brew.
There was a young man in '06
who came back and showed us more tricks.
He raced and he raced
'til his body we faced 
in a unison ‘thud’ we fell like bricks. 
Last year our apolo did dance
and wore those form fitting mambo pants.
Waltz, samba and chacha
he won like no other
I admittedly was put in a trance. 
In 2010 he’ll skate in vancouver
thrilling fans worldwide all over.
The competition will try
to push him aside
but on the podium will be our APOLO.
