Hi Everyone; All are concerned about Apolo on the AJ board as well...Lori, might you be able to think of why they posted his times as being in 3rd place and then listed him as DNF....? Also have noted that on the total finish times in the live results...the times for second place have twice been faster than the first place finisher..what's up with that? This is so frustrating...no live video, no live feed of any kind... Do we have to wait to see if he skates in the relay tonight to see if he's alright? Musical Mom ( much confused)

MM: I would assume he is okay. The ladies 1500 w/Kimberly Derrick started on-time. IF Apolo was seriously hurt and down on the ice (worst case scenario) there would have been a delay. Whatever it is, I'm sure he's ticked and yeah, hell-o Relay.....where's the No-Doze

Sorry, I can't think of anything other than injury that would cause a DNF, but I wonder if there are any rule violations (going inside the corner blocks or having a skate 'up' at the end, etc.), that would be considered a DNF rather than a DQ. I'll let you know if I hear anything... Well, we still have Kimberly & Allison in the 1500, but I guess it's the Aussie for me in the ladies' 500, and the Canadians in all the rest, though I'm always happy to see Satoru Terao on the podium!

it may be Apolo wants to reserve his energy for something that might actually win a medal. (and I'm just hoping it's that, as opposed to something more serious) They are supposed to finish so that they can get their points, which are cumulative. However Apolo has won so many of these, and the world Cups aren't as important other than it coming up on an Olympic year it's more important just to keep competing with the other international big dogs, just to see where you're at in the lineup. (Remember, Apolo didn't even skate the first four world cups last year) It's the World Championship that's important- so he may be just viewing this as important training...or strategy...who knows. (also remember the B final he was in with Lee that they called it back, because they were going Soooooo sloooooow. I don't think the B finals or the points are particularly important to him at this stage of the game. But I'm hoping that's what it is, 'cause I don't like the alternative. No boo boos for Apolo please. ...but I'll be happy to kiss 'em and make 'em all better! LOL

Thanks to everyone trying to provide some insight. Lori, I'm hoping it does have something to do with a rule violation (don't want to think of the alternative), plus it would also explain why the LIVE numbers had him in third place at the end of the race (only to change it afterwards).

Katherine wins the B final, Allison and Kimberly doin' it in the A final hopefully. Man, 3 Koreans and a Chinese. A little team skating perhaps?
mmmmm. 4th and 5th respectively, and unofficially on the women's race. It's taking forever to post the results. Might we be seeing a DQ ?
