I'm thrilled with that Bronze medal for the ladies! I put the article from the Sports Page of the San Francisco Chronicle on my door. People in my office have been coming by all day to ask about Apolo and short track. A perfect opportunity to gush like Old Faithful. That's me I guess We had California State Championships this weekend and I was the only really old lady skater so I got a very nice "ice" plaque. Jeff Simon was on the ice for warm ups. I told him he had a ton of fans rooting for him and that we would see him at the 2014 Olys

A Korean man was arrested for threatening to blow up the Australian embassy after Korea's disqualication. Freaking crazies...
And freaking Kim won ladies' figure skating. Whatever; she still can't do a triple axel.

...once more - with feeling... It's Ice Skating, not Ice Jumping... Kim was lovely...and flawless. She's the complete package, she deserved the win. All 3 girls brought their A game. Congrats to all. But how 'bout those US gals? Marai was stunning! Rachael her usual competent self. I have a reason to watch US figure skating again! And Mellie, thanks for those sites. I knew about some of them but not all...

Lol Like I said a while ago: men's gymnastics has gone to hell so why not figure skating.
But here's the difference and why these skaters have to do these jumps under the new scoring system:
With gyms., you can keep focusing on artistry and win but you can't do that in figure skating; you HAVE to do difficult jumps if you want to win.

And he is an awesome skater.

Robbed! Why would you have a Canadian judge when 2/4 racers are Canadian. I am sure Apolo will accept this with grace.

Well, he was polite and he smiled, but he voiced some uncharacteristic disagreement with the call. He even went so far as to indicate the presence of a Canadian referee might have influenced the judging decision.
