I was so heartbroken for JR! I couldn't believe he got DQed last night!
And poor Apolo and that little trip he had last night. I hate how hard athletes are on themselves sometimes!

Hi all,
It has been forever since I signed on. I forgot my user name and password. Finally figured it out after registering for a new one.
I'm so thrilled for Apolo's success.
Is mountain me (Michelle) at the games?

Hi all, It has been forever since I signed on. I forgot my user name and password. Finally figured it out after registering for a new one. I'm so thrilled for Apolo's success. Is mountain me (Michelle) at the games? Sadly, no Kirkland...although I'm sooooo tempted. (....*wheels turning in brain*....15 hour drive from Tahoe...that's at least a couple tanks of gas each way....probably about 40 bucks per tank....Can I stand sleeping in my car....can I find a last minute reasonably priced ticket once I get there....mmmm, can I scrounge enough moola for food...naw...I need to diet anyway....)Oh, and Congrats to Apolo for making history and J.R. for his first medal at his first Olympic Games.
Team USA in general is really doing well. Keep up the momentum US athletes! You're doing great!Oh, and welcome Tarah, I thought I'd say hi since no one else had...  |

I have a friend in Vancouver that I've been wanting to visit and she keeps pushing my compulsive self to just do it because the atmosphere there is awesome. So much temptation!  |

 i thought JR was robbed....but heck i'm very biased!

And Apolo as well, he could have gotten silver if he wasn't pushed by the Canadian skater. Oh wells, it showed his amazing ability to move from last to 3rd in 2 laps. Shut the Koreans up. lol

Here we old sisters are at the Olympics. LOL! OK, OK. Not quite as cute as Apolo but we had em laughing at the Pacific Coliseum. We have some videos and photos to send later. We were within 10 feet of Apolo as he was entering the rink at one point. We also sat right behind JR's aunt and cousin when he won bronze. What an accomplishment for him! It was my first time at an event and it was thrilling to watch. It's obvious to me that Apolo is THE strongest, most experienced, and fastest one on the floor. He deserves all the praise he can get.  |
