Yeah, welcome to UT weather! LoL! All I've seen is quite a bit of rain yesterday and a little this morning, but no snow (other than waaay high in the mtns) that I can see! =) Just dark clouds rolling through now...so I hope the worst of that storm is over! Fingers crossed for great (and SUNNY) weather that weekend! I'll keep you posted as well.  Thanks Lily for checking! |

Timing is everything....I was going to post and ask if anyone knew if it would be broadcast, and voila, a pointer from Mtnme. Good Catch 19! I didn't even notice the broadcast dates  (Guess I was too busy watching the video again! LOL) Yes, much cheaper than a plane ticket for sure, but not quite as 'up close and personal' as being there, and more importantly, you will be SO missed!  ...Can we still hope for a last minute decision to join us?  |

LOL) Yes, much cheaper than a plane ticket for sure, but not quite as 'up close and personal' as being there, and more importantly, you will be SO missed! ...Can we still hope for a last minute decision to join us? heh, heh, heh....I actually looked at plane fares about a week ago; but I'm just so busy with work, working lots of overtime trying to get a product shipped. If I did it i would want to take Fri and Mon so I see the whole thing... doubtfull....but not ruled out 100%.....yet.... |

Check out the new short track ice over on Andrew's blog. Getting ready for the big weekend!
Oh, and he pulled something at practice the other day and is on some R&R for a few weeks....just in time for the baby's arrival, I think!
It would be fun to buy him a teddy bear or something appropriate for the baby, sporting a rocker fund patch as a thanks for his past videos....
He'd be a good one to have in our 'fold'.....

aofreak, we shouldn't be too hard to find - some of us will be in the light blue fleeces with RockerFund patches. You've seen pics of what some of us look like, and we've seen your pic, so if any of us see you we can show you where the rest of the gang is. We'll probably be trying to sit near where the skaters come out of the turn - just behind the starting line for the 500M. Do come and see us! I see that someone asked if there was going to be a live thread going on - remember that the ISU site will most certainly be posting live data results (provided that they don't get 'stuck' again - does anybody know if those 2 girls EVER finished the race last year?  ) Anyhow, here's the link... www.sportresult.com/federations/ISU/ShortTrack/Results.aspx?evt=11210100000022EDIT: On the sportresult link - in the past, when they're broadcasting results, you'll see a link (maybe in red) saying 'LIVE RESULTS'. YET ANOTHER EDIT: (Are you surprised??? :  I think somebody posted about this somewhere else, but DON'T FORGET to check out the USS site for a possible live webcast... they're apparently set up for it if they choose to do it. *begging* Go to usspeedskating.org/ - hold your mouse over the tab 'Competition, Events & Results'; you'll see a dropdown menu; click on 'Broadcast/Webcast'. Who knows, you might get a surprise, and it would be far preferable than flashing numbers at the sportresult site... |

Has the Oval decided where the 'FAN-ZONE' section is to be and is this section where we all sat for the VIP section back in December, at Nationals??? Reason for asking is that friends attending said they hope to sit in that area for 'general adult' seats. |
