im taking a friend with me to SLC,does anyone know if theyll be selling tickets at the door?

You are taking a HUGE risk if you are waiting to buy your tickets at the door!
They sold out last year. You will have flown all that way for nothing, as you won't be able to get in.

The tickets can be bought online at Smithtix. You can either find the link in the ST season thread or go to the Olympic Oval website and access it from there. (I'd look it up for you, but I have to get to work)

thanks mtnme,i bought my tickets the day they went on sale,but since im taking my friend i was wondering if they sold them at the door..shes not a fan of short track but then again i didnt want her to be all bored at the hotel room..lol..

Hi aofreak - when Apolo first appears and steps on that ice, electricity bolts through that Oval (or at least through me!).

I found some of my favorite moments were when Apolo was warming up - he's poetry in motion.

I've posted this several times before (so please bare with me), but here's a clip of Apolo warming up that I took at last December's Nationals in SLC (wow - it seems like just yesterday we were there):



I won't be in SLC (but I'm going to Vancouver) so everyone have a BLAST and I can't wait to hear all about it!

Thanks for the motivation Lily and skaterswaltz! Oh those were the days LoL! Good times a' comin' again! We'll miss ya skaterswaltz but you'll have a blast in Vancouver!

AOFreak...just remember he puts a skinsuit on like the rest of us! LoL! No, really...you go as an avid Apolo fan but come away with so much more as far as appreciating their dedication and passion for the sport, and the crowds are amazing!!! Also you have so many great skaters to cheer for as well. Don't be nervous girl! Just come and have fun! You never know what will happen, so that's the fun of it! =) See ya soon!

I'm kind of nervous about that too. I mean, I've considered possible meet scenarios and most of them end up with me fainting, squeaking, or giggling uncontrollably.
But it's like "I Wish"...he is only human after all

I'm watching the weather channel right now... SLC:

The weather man says, "It's snowing like gang-busters in the mountains southeast of town!"

After this fast-moving storm, the forecast is for another storm next weekend.

With less than 2 weeks 'til WC-1, check your 10-day extended forecast everyday at www.weather.com, b/c it might be see-sawing back and forth, from sunny to rain/snow.

ETA:
www.accuweather.com has a 15-day forecast and it shows the weather to be sunny during the week of WC-1.

Of course this could be subject to change, so I'll keep checking it.
