Does anyone subscribe to TV Guide? They sent DWTS paddles in their last issue. The paddles have numbers on one side, and pictures on the other from past contestants. Here is a sample of two of the paddles: Hrumph! I subscribe and I didn't get the paddles!!! Bummer! (Then again, I never get any of the extra stuff you get when you buy it at the store...)

Lurker, I don't subscribe to TV Guide either, but my friend does, so she sent them to me because she knows I like Apolo and DWTS.

Dancing with the Stars is still fun but I miss Apolo He brought the chemistry with Julianne that is missing this year with any of the stars/pros. Plus I miss seeing our man twice a week every week

Warren Sapp surprised me, and did a good job. I agree about the comedian guy because he annoyed me as well. I felt bad for him due to the injury to his eye, but he wasn't funny IMO. Brooke has a fantabulous body, and it looks this good after having her fourth baby six months ago.*wow*

While I love Cloris leacheman, a little goes a long way. She may bet a bit 'support' vote just for attempting this, so she may stay a while. Oh oy! Having to watch her hijack the show each week will be painful...get your scores, make a few light remarks and move on. I do like her pairing with Corky.
Cody is too gushing at julianne and I found that a turnoff.
Surprises: Brooke (don't know her..how lovely is she?)
Too bad Samantha Harris is back. She just doesn't know how to cut off a star gracefully if there is a time crunch; and she asks the most lame questions...
Interesting that Carrie Anne told Susan Lucci to gain some wait! That sent a signal across America. But I don't think Lucci liked it much, responding "I'm very strong".
Going to love Maks and Misty May's partnership and what it will go thru. He's got his hands full, that's for sure.
I noticed that Jonathan (pro dancer) isn't back this system.
13 contestants is an awful lot of dancing to watch. I felt like the show really got tired-feeling at the 15-minute left mark.
My phone rang in the middle and I decided to pick it up. It was my daughter..."What? YOu actually picked up the phone while dwts is on?" She was calling to leave a message: "happy dwts season". I've got to get a life...

www.comcast.net/tv/seenontv/11749/dramaonthedancefloor/Drama on the Dance Floor! By Tracy Phillips Tue, 23 Sep 2008 06:02:42 GMT There was elegance, charisma--and wackiness--under the disco ball as some wild women stole the spotlight on the seventh-season premiere of "Dancing with the Stars." After five weeks of practice, the 13 dancers finally showed everyone what they’re made of…and the judges gave more than a few a spanking with low scores on the paddles. There also was dress-rehearsal drama that resulted in two trips to the ER, but that’s not even the good stuff. Now we know why they really let the 82-year-old on the show. Cloris Leachman taught us the true meaning of aging gracefully: absolute freedom. Having the freedom to not give a d**n and throw your leg up on the judges' table, sit on another woman’s lap, call the judging "stupid," get bleeped twice…and get a standing ovation. Cloris was so brazen (or crazy, take your pick) she said more than once, “I’m not leaving!” And Cloris wasn’t the only one to molest the judges. "You want a very *friendly* person?" said Susan Lucci, 62, when told her cha cha was too ladylike. The polite, soft spoken, nervous Susan then apparently channeled her alter ego Erica Kane and…shimmied up against Bruno. Yes, Tom Bergeron, this is the "season of surprises." Here are some other opening-night thoughts: Hot chicks are a hazard: Karina twisted her ankle, Edyta poked her partner Jeffrey in the eye, and Rocco DiSpirito and Cody Linley admitted their partners’ hotness (Karina and Julianne, respectively) distracted them from learning the routines. Biggest surprises: Toni Braxton and Brooke Burke. Early buzz swirled around Lance Bass as the one to beat (and he did do very well), but these two lovelies cha cha’d right to the top spots. Most enjoyable performance: Warren Sapp. He may not have gotten the highest score, but like Len said, he’s a "great big bundle of joy." Madden may be on to something. Most painful performance: Jeffrey and Edyta. And I’m not talking about the eye injury. I’m particularly perplexed why producers would pair Edyta, one of the best dancers, with a dud like Jeffrey, who will have her off the show in no time. Best slam of the night: After an un-foxy fox trot, Kim Kardashian, who seems to fancy herself hot stuff, was told she was "a bit cold" and lacked chemistry with her partner Mark. Heh. Most unintentionally hilarious moment: Co-host Samantha Harris slipping into some street talk during her backstage interview with "Quarterback Killer, Dance Floor Thriller" Warren Sapp. First Elimination Prediction: Jeffrey Ross. I think all of his 4’s were for the comedian’s humor, not his interpretation of dancing, which amounted to spreading his arms and following Edyta around the floor. One couple will be eliminated Tuesday night, while the other 12 couples perform their second dance of the week, and a second pair gets tossed on Wednesday’s results show. Leaderboard Brooke and Derek: 23 Toni and Alec: 22 Lance and Lacey: 22 Warren and Kym: 21 Misty and Maks: 21 Kim and Mark: 19 Maurice and Cheryl: 18 Cody and Julianne: 18 Ted and Inna: 18 Susan and Tony: 15 Cloris and Corky: 15 Rocco and Karina: 14 Jeffrey and Edyta: 12

Seems like most of you agree with my own picks from last night. Brooke and Warren were such nice surprises. Susan and Rocco big disappointments. Toni, Ted and Cody have great potential. Jeffry has to go as does Cloris.Lance and Lacey are a great pair. Marky has a big job making Kim less clumsy. I am NOT a prude, but Cloris was way too profane for a family show... that's over the top and I feel so bad for Corky. Here is a world class dancer saddled with someone desperate for attention. My sister told me she and her people lobbied for 3 yrs to get on the show. DWTS kept saying no. They should have stuck to that. The real dance talent jumped right out last nite and it was Brooke, Lance, Warren and Misty.. Lots of early favorites. I just don't want to see any of them leave early. Lucky lucky Lily will be at the results show tomorrow nite. You know our Lily... she will end up with photos of everyone. You go girl.

there were a few good couples tonight..But i voted for Julianne and Cody..they captured my eye .. OMG,i felt so bad for Kim and Mark.. I'm a fan of Kim,but i have to admit that she was awful tonight. She just stood there while Sexy Mark did all the work..Cloris is 82 and she moved more than kim did..

after watching both nights here's my summation...
leaving wednesday should be cloris...this is a dance show peeps not a sitcom... but i'm afraid it could be kim, rocco (what a charmer) or ted getting the boot.
brooke was by far the best and i continue to love derek's choreography
i enjoyed toni, cody, misty and warren's performances alot! hope they all go far!
lance is very entertaining but so far i'm not digging lacey's style at all.
maurice and susan...middle of the pack. that's my .
