Yikes, Iowa is taking it hard. I hope all calms down there. I'm surprised Grafton hasn't flooded yet, there's a watch for it though. I hope that they are prepared for it...

Had a scary expierence today. I went into town today (I sound like a flippin pioneer!) and it was supposed to be nice all day today! I was just getting ready to head back home and I hear on the radio that they had just issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the county I was in, and the county I live in. I decided to go back into Wal-mart and just wait it out. So I am in there and I start to hear something like a high pitch whistle, and then I hear a bunch of people talk about how they are sounding the tornado sirens. So I am in Wal-mart....don't have anyone with me and I don't know what is going on. A little bit later I am driving home and listening to the radio, and they are talking about a Tornado Warning in the county I live in and they started talking about why they had sounded the sirens in Waterloo. Turns out there was a massive wall cloud over the city (pretty much right over Wal-mart) along with 70+ mph winds...which could have easily whipped up a tornado. On my way home I ran into another Severe Thunderstorm and had to slow down to about 30mph. Right now it is nice and sunny...we will see how long that lasts!
