aofreak, Comfort and Thayne were cut, but they'll be alternates on the tour. So the top 10 is now set, as #1fan posted on the prior page.
When Nigel cut Thayne, he said he felt really bad and wished he could cut 2 girls instead. Nice huh? The other girl that would've been cut is Jessica. I do like Thayne very much though, and am glad he will be on the tour.
Next week, the dancers switch partners and I *think* everyone performs a solo. Should be interesting.

This show has incredible dancing and choreography. Imagine was the best of the night, as is the couple. This was only my second time watching so I don't know the names, but the Asian girl and black guy that danced together are my favorites, they are just spectacular. Not being a David A fan, I didn't realize it was his version of Imagine....exquisite.

kirkland...the couple you mentioned are katee and will...2 of my faves this season.
i didn't care for the way they butchered the music editing of imagine...but the song sure sounded fabulous when it first started playing last night!
there's something about joshua i just LOVE too.

who danced the rumba? amazing. Joshua and Courtney danced the rumba. Joshua is my favorite of the male dancers. I loved Lil' C's comment that he might need his asthma pump. |

since this is my first season watching this show...can someone explain the following for me?
why are the remaining 8-10 or so dancers, dancing what seems to be more of their specialty dances?
comfort with hip-hop, chelsie with ballroom and katee with contemporary... 
the way the contestants choose their partners and dances seems soooo fixed. 
btw...i thought last's night show showcased some fabulous dancing!

Even tho I'm a freak for this show I too am a little confused about the choices of dances and what seems to be obvious preferences. Last week the disastrous two step... what?  They are doing a lot more hip hop. I do like the new judges and choreo designers but the show has really gotten all about the choreographers and the back patting. I am really having a tough time calling in votes because I have too many favorites. Last year it was Danny Tidwell... period. This year I think they are unique and talented and really showing growth. It becomes more and more appearant that these dancers have a lot more experience than we originially thought i.e. Twitch. When I saw the photos of Chelsie competing at Blackpool I knew she was big time. If we are talking skill and technique I think Will has it.. but America never just goes by that. Joshua always amazes me. Katee and Courtney seem the best girls to me.. guess I go for the Contemporary dancers. I expect Comfort and Mark to go tonight.. poor Mark never got a break at all and he is so very talented. |
