June 3, 2007: Just a friendly reminder to some of our newer members--we've got sort of an official rule here to not just have one or two word posts. Of course there will be exceptions, but it's just kind of a way to prevent the board from getting cluttered. I don't want to have to go through and delete some posts because they just don't have enough to say... and I've spent some time today doing that.

Lindsey, is there anyway one can block from seeing somebody's comments? It is really annoying that one has to go through every thread and have to see the same person posting 8 to 10 times and absolutely saying nothing that contributes to the enjoyment of this board. Somebody who posts 900 times in less than a month is absolutely absurd. If you can do something about this would be such a blessing. Thanks

Guest star and Laura66--as far as I know, there isn't a way to just block seeing a person's comments. However, I'll do some checking around just in case. I know neither of you have requested this, but I'll just say that my first instinct is to not inhibit anyone's freedom to post on the board, because it's here for everyone. Just the same, if other members of the board are feeling reluctant to come here and post, it's technically inhibiting their freedom to post as well. Let me mull this over for a bit before I make any grand decision.

Im sure that is close to impossible, however; that would be nice to have sometimes. All there is to do is just going into the thread were there is less of wot you don't want to read.

Hi, everyone--we've got a new "rule" here on the board, because of some stuff that happened last night. No one has ever violated this policy before, and it wasn't even a member who instigated it, but we (the mods) felt like this rule needs to be included... It's been added to the first post in this thread, but I'll put it here so everyone can read it without bumping back....
8. The personal information of each member of this forum will be respected and kept confidential at all times, unless the member provides his/her written consent otherwise. Any posts containing personal information about a member are subject to modification or deletion as the admin and mods see fit.
Feel free to discuss if you have issues with this.

Number1, don't worry about it! Those *sillyness* guidelines are basically to remind people not to have one word posts like "Haha" "Yeah" etc. or randomness like "Apolo is hot" interrupting actual discussions. I don't think you've been guilty of any of that--most people here are pretty good about it. We've had a few issues in the past, so that's why the rule is there, but for the most part, it's all good! You don't have to worry about taming any sillyness as far as I know!! I think the spirit on the board right now is fun and happy and interesting/educational all at the same time and that's the way I like it!
