Is this the pic? Studly with fluffy hair? I'm staring at this photo after drinking copious amounts of champagne, and all I have to say is...I've got to do this much more often! Let's see...fluffy hair, bandana, smile, sparkle in the eye, black tank, gold chain, tanned and all muscle-y...is it me, or is Apolo really rocking this photo? C'mon, now MT, 'fess up -- I know you've had the bubbly chilling in the fridge. (School's out -- WaHoooooooooo! Ten weeks of freedom...yes, yes YES! -- if you get the visual of Meg Ryan banging on the table, that about describes how I feel, lol.) As for the website...I agree with enelyak that official websites are never as good as fan sites, anyway.

Is this the pic? Studly with fluffy hair? Ahhh, a big fluffy hair pic. D@mn I hate when men have better hair than me...and you know they spent zero time on it...just roll out of bed and go. But, I must admit, I can't help but look at his hands...again. That's yet another nice "veiny" hand pic that I adore.

It's awaiting the hubbie. I intend to get him drunk when he gets home and have my way with him and d**n his protests.

Ahh, that was me last summer -- I had to take two courses to recertify...hence the glee this summer. I figured you would have a bottle in there for your hubbie...and I don't think there will be *too* much protesting on his part. You go, girl!

why do people change after each courses?? i don't understand the point of state dinners is conversation and avoiding giving offense so a protocol was established for these formal functions where everyone converses with the person on their left and then, at a signal (the changing of the courses) switches to talk with the person on the other side. That way, no one gets left out and offended. This is not an American tradition. I think the British in their empire days started it. Couples are also generally split up so they sit opposite each other. So it didn't really matter who Apolo brought to the dinner so long as it was someone who could handle the etiquette, pass a security/background check, and someone female to balance the table. He was almost certainly told to bring someone to keep the table numbers even.

I generaly find formal functions deadly dull. I'll grant it was an honor for Apolo to be invited, although, in his shoes I might be mildly annoyed and insulted that it probably had as much to do with his semi Japanese heriatge (yo, I'm an American). Anyway, better him than me. I'd take sushi at the local sushi joint as a much better dinner with Apolo than a stodgy white house, orcestrated convo thing, any day.

If he'd brought me, I'd have stuck to the letter of the law, but I would still have found a way to play footsie under the table.
