You need to learn to count, Laura. I was the second poster. I only responded to the sh*t. The first post, the actual sh*t starter, said the following:
"...wanted to give her a chance to rectify the situation before I contacted Brillstein Grey Entertainment about having someone there take over management of the site. Don't know if it will do any good. It probably won't. But I thought a kindly worded threat to go to his agent might get her off her duff..."
If Sara was as civil about it as she says she was in her post following that one, I probably wouldn't have had a reaction.

billey I cannot be expected to be a mom, housewife, obsess about apolo....and count..I am not superwoman!!!! I traded "housewife" for "sex-goddess." Housework sucks and the after-glow of a neat house doesn't even last as long as the metaphorical ciggie after sex. Not when you have kids, a dog and a husband who never knew we even had a laundry basket.

Ruffian, if you're the a.m. shift bar-tender, I'll have a java, two sugars, and a shot of Jamesons. That's a dear.

By the time you finish it, you have to start over again because it all gets dirty again faster than you can turn around.

Here's an article Guest mentioned on the pictures board. It discusses the possibility of US Speedskating moving its entire training program to Salt Lake City, and Apolo gives his feelings on that. He still seems to be considering the possibility of competing.

U.S. speedskaters trying to keep their chins up Posted 6/15/2006 By Vicki Michaelis, USA TODAY
U.S. Speedskating, four months after winning more U.S. medals than any other sport at the Torino Winter Olympics, is in upheaval, leaving its athletes to wonder what will come of sweeping staff changes and restructuring. "Everybody's a little nervous right now," said long-track speedskater Chad Hedrick, the only U.S. athlete to win three individual medals inTorino.
• In short track, U.S. Speedskating is losing national team coach Li Yan and managing director Derrick Campbell, whom two-time Olympic gold medalist Apolo Anton Ohno called "all-around, probably the No. 1 coach in the world," to two of its top competitors, China and Canada, respectively. Both cited family ties as their top reasons for leaving.
"You've got to have the philosophy that everything happens for a reason, and when you have opportunities to fill positions that you can do as well or better," said Fred Benjamin, a U.S. Speedskating board member and past president.
• In long track, the contracts of Tom Cushman, one of two national team coaches, and managing director Michael Crowe were not renewed.
Bart Schouten, who was not employed by U.S. Speedskating but coached Hedrick and 2002 Olympic gold medalists Derek Parra and Chris Witty, has taken a job with the German national team. Parra is a possible replacement for Cushman, a move Hedrick said would bring him back into the national team fold.
"If they consider me to be the right coach, I would love to do it," said Parra, who as a former inline skater could help U.S. Speedskating establish a pipeline to its most productive talent pool.
• Longtime executive director Katie Marquard resigned last month. While searching for her replacement, U.S. Speedskating's board is considering consolidating all its operations in one place, possibly Salt Lake City.
Right now, the organization's national office is in Ohio. The short-track program is headquartered in Colorado Springs, and long trackers train primarily in Salt Lake City and Milwaukee.
"We see a lot of advantages" to basing everything in Salt Lake City, said Steve Roush, chief of sport performance for the U.S. Olympic Committee, which is advising U.S. Speedskating through its state of flux.
Consolidation could mean that Ohno, the most famous resident at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, will have to move. Ohno said that would not affect his decision, still not made, on whether to return for the 2010 Games.
"I don't think it plays a role," he said. "I think Salt Lake is a great place to train. More importantly, the funding is what we're looking at. We can have any type of facility we want. We just have to make sure the funding is going to be there."
Disagreements over funding and sponsorship have put many top athletes at odds with U.S. Speedskating in recent years.
The healing could begin with whomever U.S. Speedskating selects as its next executive director, Roush said. The organization also is hoping to structure its new sponsorship agreements to allow athletes to promote their individual sponsors without running afoul of U.S. Speedskating's agreements, Benjamin said.
As the U.S. delegate to the International Skating Union, Benjamin also will present a proposal to the ISU later this month to allow for another logo spot on competitors' suits that could be used for individual sponsors.
"Our goal is that we want to be a happy family here. When the board, the skaters, the members are all agreed on one purpose, I think it shows up on the ice," Benjamin said.
In Torino, what showed up on the ice is the effect former inline skaters are having, winning seven of U.S. Speedskating's nine individual medals. Overall, speedskating accounted for 10 of the USA's 25 medals.
Most of that success was happenstance, with athletes crossing over on their own rather than being recruited by U.S. Speedskating. That could change. Representatives from U.S. Speedskating, the USOC and USA Roller Sports met in March to discuss joint camps and programs.
Such steps have the speedskaters maintaining a positive outlook through the current disarray.
"I want to help U.S. Speedskating get to the next level. I want to be part of something. I want there to be some unity," said Hedrick, whose dispute in Torino with fellow U.S. long tracker Shani Davis made as many headlines as the gold, silver and bronze medals he won.
Said Ohno: "I think it's going to turn out OK. I'm hoping for the best."

oh good job, epiphani. THis is much better news than what we've been hearing. I like Parra as a coach too. He seems wonderful. Besides this is a great excuse to ask Jay (or whomever) to dig out that old pic of Parra and Apolo sitting next to each other smiling and looking extremely studly. Biceps flashing and Apolo with fluffy hair. It is one of my favorites.
