Apolo in the Paso Doble really showed his serious dramatic side. His footwork was sharp, precise and strong. His posture was perfect. Loved the way he snapped those heels.
I wish that there hadn't been that fumble the first time they performed it. Because I thought it was the best of the three versions. Interesting that Len and the others didn't take a point off for it. I think they didn't because the mistake was made by Julianne. She wobbled at the end and threw them both off balance. And Apolo was so good in that dance that they didn't penalize him for the mistake.

gotta agree with you all about the tango/paso doble performances... apolo buried his opponents that night...casted severe doubt in opponent's minds here's bruno's comment... "no...that is a champion looking at the finishing line and going for the KILL..that was fabulous!" ;D ;D ;D a couple of practice screencaps from that week...
LET'S DO THIS!!!!! the awesome paso rainbow

I have finally determind that the paso was my favorite Apolo dance, he was so serious, and it just rocked! The "let's do this" cap is a personal favorite as well.

What I really liked about the Paso was that it was one of the few dances that seemed like he was in total control of the dance...that he was doing the leading. He was really in the ZONE....I think his most confident. Especially the final performance, he almost seemed to get ahead of the music, he was so intent. I think his best jump was the first performance. In the other 2, he either was a tiny bit delayed, or he didn't get the height.
Love reminiscing!

I posted this one on the Apolo News thread, 'cause Toehold's description of seeing him working on the ice reminded me of it, BUT I hadn't seen it on any of the Pictures threads (at least not since I've been here)...It's always been one of my favorites!
