[ This is a good one! But he looks like he's puckering his lips. You say that like it's a bad thing! Nice, full, puckered lips... I'm seeing only good here...

One more Lurker: fansofrealitytv.com covered DWTS too. Sorry guys for taking more than one post to say this. My modify isn't working for me. Next time I log on away from home I'll throw everything into one post. Thanks for the sites and the link August! Diversions for the day...

Apolo's face is so expressive! The tango face was awesome. I loved his little smirk and sniff after the dance as he was pulling Julianne to her feet. They SO did not get the points they deserved for that dance! By the way, what does YMMV mean, LurkerB5? I'll see if I can get that one for you... And I agree they were horribly cheated on the scores - I blame Herb Wheeler for setting the tempo WAY too fast for that one... YMMV = Your Mileage May Vary aka You may have a different opinion, and that's OK...

I haven't learned pictures yet, and I don't think my husband wants me spending more time to learn it and be on this site!

Your right theres nothing bad about him puckering, what I meant was that I didn't think he looked that serious in this one because he was puckering his lips. Does that make sense? Ok on to more serious Apolo! This is always been one of my favs of serious Apolo!

Thank you for this one, LurkerB5. I'm probably one of the few who likes the slicked back hair look. He's so gorgeous! Lisam, the LIFE mag cover is a great one too!

Well, I haven't done anything (yet) about post-Tango smirk, but here's some backstage pre-Tango ummph-iness...

Really nice backstage pre-tango shot! It's no wonder at all that he won, as he put so very much into the competition. It's still like a dream to me. Apolo Ohno, olympic champion, entered a dance competition, kicked butt and won the whole thing. This actually happened! Why am I not over it yet? Len had issues. I found nothing wrong with their Tango. "Jessie's Girl" may not be a traditional tango song, but it's a longtime favorite of mine and it added to my enjoyment. I loved the intensity. I felt it had plenty of passion and drama. That Tango and their Paso made for a brilliant night of dance.

I loved it for the performances, but I must say that in everyday life, I prefer it tango/rumba length but not slicked. (Sorry, I know this thread isn't about hair....) I agree 110%, august! Another totally agree! Also, LOVED the second quickstep. Would have like to see that again for their final performance. Lurker, thanks for the backstage tango face screen cap. Very impressive. Now there's a man you can respect and love! ;D

August, I agree about their Tango and Paso...I think they were two of the best dances I've seen on any season of DWTS. I was so excited that night, I couldn't sit still. At the beginning of the Paso when he ripped off her skirt and waved it over his head that was soooo hot....but somehow I thought it was even sexier when he put the skirt back on her.
