Tabbi, there's this one site, skatelog.com or something (who the eff knows? I'm a wee too sloshed) that has a couple of pics like that of different skaters. Mostly europeans (which freakin figures), tho...lol.

dag nabbit. another fine picture dissappeared. What up wi dat? Do they just automatically expire or are the owners pulling them? If they pull them, is it because of us and if so, why?
Thank god for naky Kip who still hasn't found a towel or shut our peeky window.

I think photobucket has an expiration date for photos. Imageshack doesn't. Also, if you direct link it doesn't go away until the site it's one takes it down (which is why Tasty Nakey Kip still shines...literally).

@ Ruffian : i don't think so.....i think what makes a photo expires coz someone had moved or deleted the pic......it hasn't have an expiration date

@ Ruffian : i don't think so.....i think what makes a photo expires coz someone had moved or deleted the pic......it hasn't have an expiration date Actually, if you just link to a photo instead of saving it to photo bucket or something and then linking to it, you may be costing the person at the original site money. The company that use to host my sight charged me if I went over so many gigs a month. My site averages 20,000 plus hits a month and that can end up costing. I have since moved to a site host that doesn't give me a limit. But back when I had one, I would get my reports and see where the hits were coming from. If they were legit, great, but sometimes people were just linking to my photographs and costing me bandwidth and it was getting to expensive, so when I found that, I would change the address on the photograph and then put the name they were linked to on a notice that said "this site (or forum) is a bandwidth thief?" It generally didn't take long for them to break the link on their own. So please realize that when you just link to someones pictures, you could be costing them money, and they may be nicer than I was and just be changing the picture address.

That is really interesting and I don't understand half of it or how to avoid costing people $ unintentionally. I'll have to look into that. It seems that that might have to change in the future. If the photo owner can't keep people out at the front end and keep ending up paying, they're all going to walk and find another more cost effective service like you did, right?

Sara - BIG amen to your quote thingy at the bottom of your post stuff.
I like that even better then, "Do not go gently into the <something or other> night. Rage, rage against the dying of the light."
(I mangled that and shamefully forgot the source, but, it's the thought that counts and someone will no doubt chirp in with the original writer.)
