Angelina... fabulous photos of the flora... nice and crisp!!! ;D
Our son just left for the 'big island', to take care of his second home there... currently in a rental listing. I'm curious if he'll bring home some photos.

those are beautiful pics angelina!...what kind of floral plant is the last one? #1fan, it is called iliau and it is native to Kauai, I believe. Very unique, isn't it? I wouldn't be able to live anywhere in Hawaii except in Honolulu, I think. Kauai is quite laid-back - all 2-lane highways, no huge malls (though there is a Costco and a Walmart).

Great pics. I love flowers. Wal-Mart. I'd feel lost without it.

Wow, I really have been slackin' on GA. How did I miss Angelina's wonderful pics? I've never seen so many hydreangea in bloom in one place- in the wild or otherwise! Beautiful Lily of the Nile. My folks had these in our front yard when I was growing up in LA. Those and 'snowballs'- which is still one of my favorites- and a favorite I can actually grow up here in the mountains. Unfortunately, I don't have a yard to grow them in at the moment. Snowball (Viburnum) bush sigh....I miss gardening.... Thanks for the memories!

Hi Everyone,
We just got home last night from the Mammoth Lakes area... and the Long Beach Special Olympics Summer Games prior to that. Happy to report that Grandson received 2 silver medals in tennis, singles and doubles. We took a lot of pics but haven't had a chance to upload any photos yet. Gotta get ready for 'company'!

So there I was at the lake, catching some rays - dozing in and out of conciousness- listening to the water lapping on the the beach... When all of a sudden something bit my toes- HARD! I shot up, only to find myself totally surrounded by a flock of Canadian Geese. I guess my toes looked like a couple of tasty morsels to one very confused bird! The culprit.... ...sculking away from the scene of the crime.... stomach still empty! Back to the rest of the 'gang'
