www.youtube.com/watch?v=jWubS5z08koWell if that isn't one of the cutest things I've ever seen! She is adorable and they are right, FEARLESS. Definitely a future Oly contender. Thanks for sharing that adorable clip. Was this from Kristi's show this year? I didn't see it. Did Daria or Elizaveta skate? www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fj4pqMdyfK4&feature=related[/quote] This was great to see again, it was my all time favorite B/E number, I've seen them skate it in person. It was so perfect for them. Did I tell you that I saw them skate their final performance at SOI in Vancouver? It was emotional, I remember Alexei had his hand on his heart - very sweet. Too bad he turned out to be such a jerk. The only other skater that has even come close to her fearlessness is Kyoko Ina in the past few years. I love John Zimmerman, she leaves me cold, but as a pair I think they are the most daring and exciting right now.

I just happened to catch "The Music of Seal On Ice" featuring Brian Boitano and Kristi Yamaguchi on tv yesterday. I'm not a huge fan of Seal's, but it was a pretty good show. Mostly I was irritated that they'd cut away from the skaters at crucial moments so they could show close-ups of Seal singing. Uh, we can hear him singing, we don't need to see close-ups too! Show the skaters, darnit!
Eldredge, Weiss, Sato & Dungjen, and Ina & Zimmerman appeared as well.

John Zimmerman and Sylvia Fontana were featured in a local magazine...(201)...it's a delivered to your door freebie for those of us who live in Bergen County, NJ.
Anyway...they modeled fashions from local upscale boutiques and did an interview. They both attended the local community college and now have licenses to sell real estate in New Jersey. One goal is to find housing for skaters who practice at the nearby Ice House in Hackensack, NJ.
Sylvia was on the cover of the magazine. Nice photo.
Just reporting in....I don't think this is available online but I will search for it.

Thanks Lizzbeth, for this tidbit of Zimmerman info. They are a great couple and is he hot or what? Smokin'! And so nice. Did you see it when John was featured on Queer Eye for the Straight Guy? Very sweet relationship. I hope they do well in their life after skating. In the meantime, Ina and Zimmerman continue to provide on ice thrills!

Well if that isn't one of the cutest things I've ever seen! Isn't she just adorable?? I love that death drop spin. You have to be fearless to do that and she doesn't hesitate for a second going into it. Oh to be 6 again! Mostly I was irritated that they'd cut away from the skaters at crucial moments so they could show close-ups of Seal singing. Uh, we can hear him singing, we don't need to see close-ups too! Show the skaters, darnit! I know exactly what you mean. I want to hear the music, but see the skating. I don't know the big deal about Seal anyway. He only had one hit, didn't he (Kiss from a Rose)? My sister deals with celebrities in her line of work and says he's one of the kindest she's ever dealt with. No ego whatsoever. How can someone be that good looking and as nice as they come? Sound like anyone else we know? They're a rare breed!

Thanks Kirkland for those links, not only were they fun, but in linking to them, I finally found the Brasseur and Eisler routine I've been looking for. Absolutley LOVE that incredible one arm star lift-amazing. Lloyd is soooo strong. (It was faster when they performed it at the Olympics, but since I can't find that video, I guess the worlds will have to do.) Not their best performance, but I've always liked this program. Probably because of the music from 'Dances with Wolves" www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZkaFxHXPjc4&feature=related

Mtnme, Did you see this? Too funny! NO! NO! NO! Dead kittens....dead kittens...dead kittens...!!!!! Please tell me he's not turning this into a career! The one time I saw it was cute....to continue with it really cheapens him in my opinion and turns him into a B-lister. I think now that he has an injury that's force him out of competition and now that he's lost the spirit of the professional challenges, he's grasping at straws. I wish he'd coach or something. That's where his talent lies.

"Why are either of those necessary in Life?...." ...definately cringe worthy!

No, no... I was referring to Lexi's response! I laughed when I read Lexi's comment, but I don't get the 'dead kittens' reference. Am I missing some pop culture inference? ...'splain it to me Lucy!....

Hi ladies, It's a terrible expression I know, but one I hear and use. Usually, whenever someone is trying desparately to stop from laughing they'll picture dead kittens in their mind to get themselves back to a serious mind frame. I don't know if that clarifies things any better.
