Sounds like it, I'm going to my brother's for some tomatoes, he better have some too, he plants them every year. I love cheese on my salad, and pasta, now I don't like speghetti w/ out it. Lousy spelling!

Cheese is my go-to snack...usually American, Swiss, or cheddar. Fresh mozzarella is my guilty pleasure. I also really like brie, dill havarti, blue cheese, and Saga (it's sort of like Brie with Blue Cheese mixed in.)
I like to sample different kinds of cheese, but some of them get a little too pungent.

You guys need to try this appetizer. Take fresh, sliced tomatoes and top them with a slab of mozzarella cheese, fresh garlic, fresh basil leaves and just a pinch of salt. Douse it in some olive oil and eat away. IT IS OUT OF THIS WORLD. A perfect summer treat.

Sounds like it, I'm going to my brother's for some tomatoes, he better have some too, he plants them every year. I love cheese on my salad, and pasta, now I don't like speghetti w/ out it. Lousy spelling! I have a garden and one of the things I grow is tomatoes. I so love fresh, home grown tomatoes. When I get to many to eat before they go bad, I freeze them and use them for cooking during the winter. I just wish there was some way to keep them fresh all year because when winter comes and I have to buy store bought tomatoes, I don't eat nearly so many. I use to grow some in containers and put them in a greenhouse over winter, and I would get a few over the winter, but not nearly enough. I don't have the greenhouse anymore because we moved, but I want to build another. Oh yes, this is the cheese thread, so to not be off topic...A little freshly shredded parmigiana on a slice of home-grown tomato is heavenly.

it was good! the tomatoes were nothing to write home about (is it tomato season? when are tomatoes good?) but the cheese and balsamic vinagrette (olive oil was too expensive!) with the basil overpowered them and were heaven.
i give it a big thumbs up. then i had some fruit thingytail. delicious!
