PLEASE view this video one of my friends sent to me this morning. Her hubby's aunt HAS this kind of breast cancer and apparently, it's not well known in the cancer world. This was broadcast on a Seattle, Washington TV station recently and it talks about this silent, virtually unknown breast cancer called "Inflammatory Breast Cancer" and it can strike a woman at almost ANY age. Even a teen in this report contacted it and DIED. I, myself, am a 16 year breast cancer survivor and I try to keep up on this stuff as much as I can. And I had never EVEN seen or heard ANYTHING about this until NOW! So PLEASE...view this and PASS it on to your mothers, sisters and friends. You may just be able to help save a life, maybe even your OWN. ww3.komotv.com/global/video/popup/pop_player.asp?ClipID1=785456&

As far as I know, I have NO IDEA if it's Genetic Ruffian. But hey, if it scared the nuts OUT OF YOU...GOOD! We women NEED to know this stuff and take the responsibility for our own health sometimes because you can't always count on the doctors always knowing the most "up-to-date" stuff. Like this....most cancer centers and many doctors ( like in this report ) have heard of this disease when they studied it in medical school but had NEVER come up against it in "real life" practice.
So, if this made you MORE aware...Good. That was the point. I mean, did you hear how many of those women had gone to their doctors, only to be told it was a "bug bite" and they gave them anti-biotics and by the time they told them to come back, it was TOO LATE and the disease had gotten to cancer stage 4, which can be a death sentence?
Just keep an eye on your mammary glands and the rest of us need to, as well. And when you see something that does NOT look right, for God's sake, go and get it checked out and if you do not feel right by what the doctor tells you, get a second and third opinion. I had to go to two doctors before my breast cancer was properly diagnosed....yeah. And I am alive now because I was so diligent!
