What about the "My celebrity will totally grow if I spawn or pick up another kid and plus, people will forget about that insane marriage to Billy Bob Thornton or the fact that I possibly stole another woman's husband and then flaunted our relationship on the cover of W magazine!" reason? Personally, everytime I see an interview with Jolie I'm left with a feeling of "This woman is totally sane and seems to have a good head on her shoulders...Why does she keep doing crazy ass things?!" I think that she enjoys attention and the kids are just another attention conduit for her. I'm not saying she doesn't love them or take care of them. But six? Good heavens, cool it Angelina. You were OK with her tongue kissing her bro for the cameras then? I don't know if they are for attention as much as filling a black hole of need for love after having such a crapty father and a crazy childhood. As long as it's not a fad and she treats them right though. |

6 kids were fine during the "dark ages" where children, as well as adults died from disease and war. But nowadays is different. I've never disagreed with you Apolosgal, you've always been my pal, but in this case, I'm butting heads with you.
Our planet can't take it. There's too many people, and they're draining our resources. We need to find a solution to this planet's problems, over-population being one of them. The obvious cure, another world war, is out of the question. COMPLETELY out of the question. But it's so complex!
I think, that for every parent, there should be a replacement, which means 2 children per family. But, what about men who "sleep around" without contraception, and father alot of children? Our society is f*cked up! Things like that should never happen! What about women who "sleep around" without contraception? Same thing!
Oh well. I'm not saying anymore, except: There's just too many people, and too many un-wanted babies! Maybe Americans should try adopting those un-wanted babies, instead of opting for the "cheaper, foreign" babies to adopt!
Yeah, I'm still on the "Adopt American" tangent! That's just the way I feel.

I definitely think it's f**ked up how people sleep around and r really careless about using protection. It's disgusting how people can be so thoughtless, I mean they are hurting innocent children when they carelessly bring then into the world. I just think if u can take care of ur kids and ur being responsible then more than 2 would be fine. P.S. Torino we can still be pals even though we disagree.  |

Actually, there aren't a lot of American babies to adopt, their are hardly any. Most of the babies are tied up in foster situations and have not been given up by their biologicals for adoption. Of the kids that are available for adoption, they are mainly older, troubled and/or have physical or learning inabilities and nobody wants them. THis is a huge tragedy and maybe Angelina should be adopting them, but I have examined this issue myself and I just couldn't do it on, much to my shame. So, I can hardly condemn her. As for population growth, it is a problem some places but, Germany has negative population growth which has them in an utter panic because there about to hit a massive problem with not enough workers paying taxes to support the many times larger older generations. If it weren't for imigration, they'd already be in meltdown mode. England is almost as bad. Their higher teen pregnancy rate helps them out (but causes other problems.) The teens are pleased to get pregnant, even though they know how not to, because the social system, at least till recently would provide a single mom and her baby with housing. Work that equation. Teen - my mother is a pregnant dog, I'm tired of sharing a room with my sis - ding <light bulb goes off> I'll have a baby doll to play with and get my own place! Oh yeah, China has a low to very low population growth since their one-child policy. It will get lower probably as many families chose to have that one be a boy and theirs a shortage of mates for all those fellas. My husband and I compared notes, of our friends from highschool on and our sibings and relatives, less than half have chosen to reproduce and those who have have chosen to do so at most twice. My point is, population is growing on this poor, stressed earth but is it because ofreproduction or too many old farts sticking around longer and longer and getting older while producing less and less. My solution, Angelina should adopt a whole passle of old farts. I don't care if their foreign or native. She can start with me. Someone should adopt me and keep me out of trouble and I'd dig calling Brad "pops." |

I agree with you, there's alot of drug problems in this country, and alot of babies born with problems because of it. I, myself, am not of the mentality to deal with it. But, I will take the chance on an infant with a clean drug record, irregardless of the history of mental problems in the family, it's not always inherited you know.
I simply believe in taking care of our own, before taking care of others. That's all.

What part of the country do you live in? There's an over abundance where I am! So many healthy un-wanted babies, I know, I have an insider. Along with abandonments in hospitals. There's lots here in the Pacific Northwest.
We're having a culture-clash here because we're from different regions!
Love ya girl! End of discussion! We, sadly, don't relate to each other. Chicks in this region, dump their babies. I don't! (Well, I wish I could have one)

What part of the country do you live in? There's an over abundance where I am! Along with abandonments in hospitals. Truly? And they are legally adoptable not just looking for foster homes to temporarily park them in the hopes mom and dad will get their act together? I have a friend here who is desperate to adopt and is starting to make arrangements to fly to China and buy a baby as there are non available here and haven't been for the years she's been trying. Of course, inter-state adoptions are almost as complicated as inter-country ones. |

I can't give names, but in the tri-cities area of Washington state, I know there's a bunch. They're anywhere you want to look for them. The adoptions are completely legal, but can be iffy. The B*TCH in my man's family, turned down the last one! The psycho wanted to keep the baby! She already kept one, adopted out one, aborted one, gave birth to one, and then...wants to keep this one? (4 kids? she's not even 21) The state should have taken that baby because of her mental status.
The problem is, it can be difficult to adopt from an American mother/and/or couple.
I just believe in keeping it inside our own country at any cost.
