Lilpip, i agree, i think Halie might be the face for the US ladies! I think that a lot of attention is towards the guys...soo.. it'll be nice to see the ladies get some camera time! And as for Halie, it sux that she had an ankle injury before the '06 olympics.....i think if it wasn't for that, then she could've def. be on the podium!! Oh well! Im sooo lookin' forward to seein' her in 2010!!! yeah!! yay halie! d*mn injuries but yes... in 3 years and 9 months and some change!!

i realy like halie kim too yup yup... allison and halie are the top two in the US team and it seems like halie is quickly passing allison up! I dont remember where, but i read that all the older skaters (allison, rusty, apolo... etc) have kind of adopted halie as their little sister! how adorable!! and when halie complained of the lack of good kimchi around colorado, apolo started a routine of taking her to local korean restaurants ::sWooOoOon!!:: omg! how frikin awesome is that?! ;D

haha thats so cute, but i thought Kimberly Derrickk was the better than allison She is. She is ranked as one of the top skaters, along with Hallie. I mean she was ranked higher last year and going into Torino. But who knows, I think Alison was ranked in top 10 for this year's Worlds, so I don't know.

You what guys, we really need to push for Short Track to get on broadcast TV.
I was turning on the TV a few minutes and flipping channels and lo and behold what do I see on NBC, The Pacific Alliance Gymnastics Competition...I mean I was like what??? Nationals???
And I think that Apolo staying would help at least to get maybe the US Nationals on TV, I think it might depend on the sponsors..because I mean ST wouldn't be good to have on Sundays??? It's not like everyweek like golf or basketball...could be once a year or maybe twice...what do you think???
Also to add, I think on the flipside the one reason we see gymnastics on network TV is because of the fact that there are more people in gymnastics and that invest in it. And another thing, so far I have only seen the girls, now they maybe showing men as I type this, but I doubt it.

Short track does need to be on tv...why doesn't some channel do what they do for new sitcoms or programs, show it once to see what kind of ratings it would get. NBC, ABC and FOX do that all the time for new shows! I also think that the networks would be surprised because most of Apolo's and Speedskatings fanbase is online. Once they see the power in numbers, something might happen. Jut my opinion though, I may be horribly off base.

Yes it needs to be on TV, especially while Apolo is in the game.
I mean let's face it, he is the face of this sport, but he is not the only good skater, just the best...there are quite a few actually, and if they got a chance to show their stuff on TV then ST could possibly survive on network TV after Apolo has left the sport, or at least past 2010, whihc I'm thinking might be it for Apolo.
But what if it isn't? What if he does one more US or Worlds after the Olympics?? Wouldn't see it unless we get certain channels of Comcast or Ohnozone.net does a live broadcast...who knows but I mean I would like to Kanlya Roberge or Hallie Kim skate some more....
