Mom Thread (non-Moms welcome)

I know there are several Moms on the forum. I wanted to start a thread where we could talk about our kids...brag about them, share concerns, ask advice from other Moms...what ever you want to talk about pertaining to your child(ren). Those of you who are not Moms (at least not yet) are welcome to give your thoughts, too.

As most of you already know, I have five children, three boys (ages nearly 14, 10 and 8) and three girls (ages 7 and nearly 5). I love being a Mom. From the time I was little all I ever wanted was to be a Mom. I never aspired to any career at all. I love being a stay at home, Mom, though it is not without it's challenges.

Tell us about your children...how many you have, how old they are, and anything else you want to share.

You know i love red-heads...and their freckles! i like freckles...although i don't have them.

Well, i would loVE to become a mommy (someday!). THis is my dream: Get married around 30...have 2 kids...and adopt 1 kid. I would just like to help others as much as i can...and i think that kids can't speak for themselves..soo....i would really like to adopt a child and hopefully my future husband will approve. And if he doesn't then..i think i would still adopt. Ok yeah, that's my thoughts...and being a mom isn't that easy!

Yes, Redhead is my son, and I could brag on him all day (especially knowing that he will be reading this ) And, since I got here before he did, I will answer the question for him, he does indeed have red hair, as do my husband and three of my other children (only one has brown hair like me).

Sintha, thanks so much for sharing your "Mommy dreams" with us. Your plans sound wonderful. My sister's three girls are adopted. They are of mixed race and were considered "hard to place" but they are blessed to be in my sister's loving home.

Sintha, that's totally what I want to do... have two and adopt one. I got the one, and am workin' on number two. The adopted one will come later.
