I like Radio Flyer, too. It is heartbreaking and sweet. I have not seen The Good Son. Have either of you seen The War. It is really good..one of those message movies that stay with you for a long time.

Beautiful pictures! My favorite book as a young girl was Black Beauty. You are right, there is definitely something about black horses... very majestic and stately yet wild and free. Great to read all the kind posts. In a world of indifference and greed, it's a nice to know that there are those who still recognize the value of an act of kindness and a few well spoken words.

The War sounds vaguely familiar. I think I've seen parts of it. I remember a scene with Kevin Costner taking kids somewhere and they got into a fight with some other kid's dad. Or all these kids are fighting over a tree house? Is that right? My memory needs work, lol. The Good Son was alright, I guess. Although I had a hard time buying Kevin McAllister as a murderer, lol. Bella, I loved that book.

Yep, that's The War. It is really good, though I don't recommend watching it when you are feeling emotional, unless you need to have a good cry. Are any of you here avid readers? I read about one book a week...I used to read about one book a day before I had kids. Just wondered if anyone else likes to read as much as I do.

I hate to admit it, but I'm not much of a reader. I tend to read the "fad" books mostly or recommendations. I'll read certain author's books if I really like one of their books too. What about you? Got any faves??

Hey, thanks for posting good ole Sunday Silence up Ruffian!
And yes, I like things that go fast, either it be horses, cars, jets, the space shuttle, Apolo!
Hey, have you ever seen Sin City? Elijah Wood is in that, but he is like totally creepy!

No, I haven't seen Sin City! It was weird because I only heard about that movie after it left theatres but it seemed to have a TON of famous actors in it. I was totally confused by that.
I'm glad you like the pics!

Ugh! No, i have not seen Sin City. That is one Elijah movie I have no desire to see. Ruffian, it's fine if you aren't a huge reader. My husband is a very intelligent, funny, wonderful guy and he never reads anything he doesn't have to.

I have not seen Ice Storm. I didn't think I could bear to watch him in a death scene. I have not seen EII yet but it is on my wish list. Next time I have some extra money, I plan to buy it. I am sooo glad Apolosgal gave me permission to break my promise about not talking about Elijah or LOTR! I would not be able to join in any of these wonderful conversations!

Hey, speaking of horror movies, has anyone heard of Silent Hill? I saw the movie trailer when I went to go see The Hills Have Eyes (that movie sucks!) and it looks good. It also has LOTR Sean Bean, AKA, Boromir in it, and I love Sean Bean, he's another one of my favorite actors, and he can play a really good bad guy!
