OMG i just heard Apolo was gonna be presenting an award at the kids choice awards how cool is that!! I gotta watch that. The kids choice awards are on Nickelodeon on April 1st.

Thanks, Apolosgal. Unfortunately, I can't do video on my computer or it freezes up (yes, I am living in the dark ages) but if I want to see a clip, I forward it to my Mom's and watch when I visit her.
LOL, Laura, somehow we have survived without cable. ;D Actually, my kids are not allowed to watch TV/videos/DVDs on weekdays. They are allowed to watch one thing on Saturday and one thing on Sunday. I know that sounds really strict but it is a decision my husband and I made and it works well for our family. The children have never known anything different so they don't know they are "deprived." (Hopefully Redhead won't log on and read this. ;D)

time....my mom has often barked at me for not being more mindful of what they watch and listen to...but with total respect for your home and family...and i mean that..when i was a teen ager,,the boys i hung with who were restricted like that where dirtiest and wildest when out of parents eyesight...
I made the fatal mistake of indulging my kids cuz.....it was easiest

I can see how that might happen, Laura. I don't pretend to know all the answers to parenting. My husband and I were both raised rather strictly and we never "rebelled" or got wild. I think it is what you do instead of the TV and movies. I spend a lot of time reading to my children and playing games with them. They are my life. But I don't think there is anything wrong with your parenting either...each family has to do what is right for them. All of us parents will do things right and we will all make mistakes, but hopefully our kids will turn out to be honest, decent, law abiding citizens anyway.  |

OMG!!! Jack Black is hosting the Kids Choice AWards. Jack is really funny dude....OOOOHHHHHH i just realized Nickelodeon is famous for their SLIME!!!! I hope APOLO get SLIMED!!!!! i want to see his reaction (of course he'll be a good sport about it).....*crosses fingers* hopefully he'll get a lil' more camera...(like u know when they shows audience reactions) EEEE i can't wait (im like a lil' kiddy)
