Ok this isn't really a whole chapter, but it keeps the story moving and gives more background to the main character.
Next morning Kaci woke up bright and early. She couldn’t get her mind off that guy she met the day before. That night’s sleep was full of wonderful and strange dreams. Her thoughts mixed and jumbled together. She had expectations and fantasies about the date she was going to have later that day. Kaci never kissed on the very first date and didn’t plan on it on changing that fact for the newcomer. She always heard stories of her friends and what they had done on their first dates. It disgusted her to no end how they went so far with a guy soon after first kiss and rushed into an immature relationship from there. It was those mistakes that led to heartache and eventually heartbreak. Kaci didn’t want either of those things happening to her in life. She also thought of what this guy’s name could possibly be. He didn’t seem like a guy who would have your everyday name. He had that something special that distinguished him. His air and presence as well as his charming looks were so captivating and pleasant. Kaci wished she had a more vivid image of the mystery man in her head. But every second that ticked away a little bit of her memory faded with it.
Kaci decided to go for a run around the local park to get in those last minute Calorie burners. She ran three miles trying to clear her mind and put her thoughts in order. Running was one of her favorite hobbies. She would run whenever without being asked by coaches, but she hated running if it was only as some sort of punishment. That kind of running was the worst kind. Kaci loved sports and sports loved her. One to participate in as many activities possible, she was a gifted and natural athlete. Kaci especially loved basketball and track. She was never one for a more girly less aggressive sport. Growing up around her uncles and male cousins, Kaci learned to be one of the guys and tough it out in all sorts of situations.
Upon reaching the pond in the middle of the park, Kaci lay down on the grass and looked up at the sky. The clouds rolled lazily along. This park was so peaceful and claming. The distant sounds of birds singing their songs tickled through the trees. Closing her eyes, Kaci thought of how lovely her day was going to be. She was going to go to work and have a great, productive shift. Then she’d go on a brilliant date with the new hot stranger. Nothing could go wrong. On that note relaxing and positive note, Kaci began doing crunches to get that flat stomach back in gear. It was going to be a long day and she had to look her best in order to impress.
Alright... i know it is pretty lame, but more to come.
