Well sorry for keeping everyone waiting, but i finally have chapter so here it is!! and this time its spaced!
The date continued; everything was going as planned; but there was a bit of a problem. I couldn't live the lie that was keeping me distant from him anymore. I had to tell him.
"So I was jumping up and down on my couch because i just won fifty thousand dollars on a lotto ticket," continued Apolo with his random conversation. " And I go to cash it in and it slips out of my hand and blows in the wind--"
" I met you once!" I interupted him. I had to tell him.
" W-what?"He studdered.
"I was working and it was back in late 2007 and I served you up at the cash register..." As i spoke there was a major flashback:
I was at Dollarama that one late november afternoon and I was up at the cash register waiting for costumers. The store was completely dead at this time and there was no explanation why. I have become so bored I started to lean on the counter even though it was not professional, but my friend Kassy was working as the night manager that evening, so she did't care much what I was doing because she's nice. Kassy and my other friend Manday who was working with us also came up to the cash to keep me company. They must've sensed that I was bored. I turned around to talk to them and Kassy was pointing past the cash register with her eyes bulging out of her head and her mouth dropping to the floor.
"What?" I said laughing. " Looks like you just saw a ghost!"
"No not a ghost, but a speedskater,"
I turned around and Apolo was standing right infront of me. Kassy and Mandy were bothing laughing their butts off.
"H-hi!" I studdered.
"Hey how's life?" He says in sweet, down-to-earth tone.
"Do u speak Japanese?" I blurted out stupidly, completely ignoring his question.
" Uhh--" He tried to answer when Kassy interupted.
" Allyssa!!!"Both her and Mandy nudged me. " You don't ask questions like that!"
"That's ok," Apolo said nicely.
"Do you eat with chopsticks?" I blurted out once again and my friends once again gave me crap.
"Erm.."
I cut him off again. " Are you good at Dance Dance Revolution?"
" Allyssa!" Mandy shouted at me while Apolo gave me a strange face. " You dont ask questions like that just because he's part Japanese!!"
" Your answer to those questions are no, no and yes" Apolo exclaimed and bought his chocolate bar. " See you around," he left after that.
"Oh my," Kassy said. " You have to learn how to talk to your crushed properly!"
"I'm sorry," I apologized. "I got nervous thats all. I froze. D@mn i shouldve asked for an autograph!"
It went back to reality. It was back to the present tense as I was telling this to Apolo while eating dinner.
" Oh!" He cheered. " So your the crazy cash lady! Now i remember! I can't believe i couldn't recognized you!"
" Apolo I am so sorry," I said apologetically. " I totally froze, and I was not being racist or anything, it just came out like that."
" It's ok" he replied. " just alittle freaky thats all,"
So over the course of an hour, we kept talking about our life experiences when the subject of birthdays came up and he ended up telling me about how great his birthdays were until the year 2007 when he won DWTS on his birthday.
"Why wasn't that good?" I asked in shock. " I thought you were happy?"
"Well I was at first," he said. " But after it got tiring and I wish I did't win. I was so tired and got no sleep or rest. I was constantly being followed by the paparazzi and they would NOT give me any privacy! One time they caught a picture of me in the shower and posted it on the internet for everyone to see! I dont know how they got that! And there were stupid rumours that Julianne and I dated, but we were just friends! And I really miss her. I haven't seen her in ages! And after all that, my birthdays went straight down the rabbit hole. I really mean it,"
"Why, what happened?"
"Well not last year but the year i turned 26 I went to a bar with my friends," He started explaining with an embarrassed look on his face. " Well we all got so drunk that night, and they dared me to do something really stupid. So I did it because I am drunk, right? So i stand up on the bar counter and I start dancing like a lunatic and start stripteasing!"
"Oh! My!" I gasped in shock.
"Well that's not the worst of it!"He continued. " I practically took everything off other than my boxers..infront of everyone! And all the girls are going nuts and making noises at me and they all come up to me and ask for my number. I said sorry I am not available because I would not go out with tons of girls. The worst thing was that the stupid paparazzi caught me there and posted pictures all over the newspapers and everybody saw!"
" How come I never saw this?"
"Because you live in Ontario,"He said. " I know because I met you there and I was there promoting my speedskating career and speaking for different highschools. This newspaper is only in Washington thats why."
I nodded. I was in so much shock. "What happened the next year?"
" I got a movie role," he said.
" OH yeah!!" I exclaimed." That movie premiered right on your birthday! I loved that movie! You were excellent as a vampire! I will never forget you being in Immortal Love."
" That's just the thing," he protested. " That movie was a failure! Im glad you liked it, but when I was at the premiere, everyone booed at the end of the film, saying it was poorly shot and poorly acted.. and said that the storyline sucked. Man i hope this year is much better"
" Awww," I said.
We got up and paid the waiter after eating our food and kissed. It was so magical, like we were one being.
" I wanna see you again," Apolo said sweetly. "You are a nice person,"
" So are you," I said kissing him again.
" So I'll see you and Artemis at the party?" He asked.
" Yep!" I said and we left the restuarant and he dropped me off at home. This was clearly magical.
