...you can't beat a few things from life such as death and taxes....so just have a HELL OF A GOOD TIME while you're here, right?
I just changed the verbage in my signature to what I use on most of my emails and forums, but I didn't know if it was really appropriate here. It should let everyone know that I try to do just what you said.

Right on, Sara. You gotta live your life. As far as I know of, you've only got one so make the best of it and don't regret anything. Learn from your mistakes, YES, but....never regret ANYTHING. I sure as heck don't!

I sure as heck don't! OK...I'm going to date myself here. Once upon a time, long long ago, there was a song by Rita Coolidge (most of you have never even heard of her) that said "I'd rather be sorry for something I did than for something I didn't do." I have always felt that way. There are a lot of things that I look back on and say, "That was so stupid. Why did I ever do that?" But I learned from the stupid things I did. I wouldn't be the person I am today if I hadn't done them, and I kind-of like the person I have become.

I know who Rita Coolidge is. She's a very famous Native American singer right?

Sara...God, I wish you and I could meet up and go for some drinks and "really talk" woman. You are MY kind of person, I can tell already! Thanks for making me feel okay to be my age and proud of it, babe!

You guys can talk about stuff around your age. Just because a person is not your age doesn't mean that they may not can identify with you. I grew up with my grandmother so I tend to think about things from a more mature view. And my musical and artistic intrests never put me in a certain category with any particular age group. I may not had been around when John Bonham and Natalie Wood died, yet I am still fasinated by their life story and their connection to pop culture. So I say, bring on the diverse topics and discussions. I would love to talk about Jimi Hendrix, Bessie Coleman, Chris Brown, M*A*S*H*and the Hinderburg Disaster all in one discussion! Now who can top that

Crimson, when I was your age, I thought I knew alot too because I grew up mostly around adults.
I'm not saying you DON'T know anything my dear but...there are things that AGE itself and LIFE EXPERIENCES teach you that you will not know until you GET there. So please....not putting YOU down but don't put Sara and I down for being older and "getting" one another on pretty much the same level. You are not EVEN there yet.

Actually I wasn't putting you guys down, I was just trying to support you and ask you to talk about things that relate to you all as well, so that maybe others might can join in with you as well.
And I didn't say that I knew "alot" when I am this age. You don't know what "age" I am.
I was just trying to encourage people of different backgrounds to talk so people that might have something in common can at least talk about that. But I won't make that mistake again.

And BTW, I was born and in school when John Lennon, Natalie Wood and John Bonham died. Edited to say, that I don't want anybody to feel offended regarding age here. I mean I did, but I just don't want anybody else to feel that way, including Sara and Amy. I was just merely stating that you guys should post some things that maybe only people around your age would talk about, pop culture references I mean. Not a real conversation. Because there might be some people that might know what your talking about, despite being younger, that's all

You say you were not offended by what I said, Crimson, but you said this, which I find a bit contradictory:
Sara and I were just relating to what one another was saying. I don't tell you or any other person in here what to talk about, yet somehow, you just felt you had the right to suggest how Sara and I do our talking in here. I find that very interesting.
No, I don't know your age, Crimson, NOR do you know mine. But I can tell by the way you handle yourself in here that you are a lot younger than I am and need to learn respect for the elder posters in here. I really don't need someone telling me how I can talk to my "own generation" in here, or for that matter, anyone else. I am doing just fine, thank you very much.
And BTW, I was NOT alive during the Hindenberg disaster. That was my MOTHER'S generation, NOT mine!
And if you'd bother to read more of my posts in here, I make references to older bands, TV shows and all kinds of stuff that is "my generation". You obviously just don't read or see it, not sure which it is.

Crims was trying to say that she didn't want you to feel like you couldn't talk about certain things. She was trying to be nice. She was trying to talk to you guys in a friendly way. But I can tell by the way you handle yourself in here that you are a lot younger than I am and need to learn respect for the elder posters in here. *snort* Are you serious? Hasn't Crims been posting here longer than you have? In post years, she actually your elder.
