I STILL CAN'T THINK UP A TITLE FOR THIS THING. ANYTHING COMING UP AS YOU READ IT??

MASS MEDIA Two weeks had gone by since the date, but Apolo and Thalia's schedules were beyond busy. They hadn't seen each other since. Thalia was swamped with photo shoots, being the new Revlon spokeswoman, and training. Apolo was coming down from his victory on Dancing With the Stars finally, and the lack of interviews and appearances for awhile meant he could train more for competitions this summer. It was late June and both were due all over the world, sometimes in the same place at the same time.
One day before he left for Europe, Apolo stopped by Thalia's room, but she wasn't home. He left a note he'd written beforehand (in case she wasn't there) stuck in the door and left with his carry on luggage for a taxi waiting behind C for him.
As he headed down the stairs, Thalia turned a corner at the opposite end of the hallway, just missing him. She was listening to her iPod and carrying her equipment bag. She could see the note sticking out of her door and grabbed it. She skipped to the end to see who it was from and then looked around as she took her earphones out. She heard voices down the stairs that were located right next to her door and she dropped her bag to rush downstairs.
"Apolo?" she called out; nothing. She jumped down the last few stairs, winced with a little pain in her knee and continued to turn a corner. She saw him in the parking lot getting into a taxi and sprinted, calling out his name.
She reached the taxi, knocking on the window, and laughing. She was slightly out of breath, from the adrenaline rush. The driver stopped and Apolo opened the door.
"I got your note," she said. "You were going to leave before I could say good luck."
"You haven't returned calls," he replied. A thunder cloud boomed overhead. She laughed and commented how perfect it would be to be rained on.
"The lovers say goodbye under a sudden, perfectly timed rain storm."
They just looked at each other.
"I'll be in Manchester when you are," he said. "Make time to see me?"
"Yeah, I will."
He smiled and grabbed her hands, bringing them together inside of his own hands and kissing the tops of them.
"I like you, Lia." he said. "But we should take this slow."
"Yeah, I agree." she said as she stepped forward and planted a kiss on his lips. Apolo still holding her hands at his chest they stood in the parking lot, kissing. This time her eyes were closed.

Thalia Suarez keeps her famous body under wraps while on the set of a photo shoot.
Everywhere Apolo went he thought of Thalia. He couldn't really help it. More and more photos of her were showing up in magazines, articles in gossip columns, and reporters hounding him as to whether they were a couple or not. He wasn't one who liked to discuss his personal life to the media and declined to answer those questions.
So it shocked him when he was told there was a one page article in US Weekly about the two of them meeting up again after three weeks of separation and rare phone calls. His coach broke the news to him and showed him the article. He sat on the bed with Thalia and they read the article together.

APOLO & THALIA
RENDEZVOUS IN ENGLAND
Touring couple make time to woo in the U.K.
Apolo Anton Ohno is making big accomplishments in Manchester, England. In the wee hours of June 15, the speed skating & Dancing With the Stars champ, 25, fresh from another 1000m victory, settled into the cozy bar of the posh Lowry Hotel for a makeout session with gal pal Thalia Suarez, 24. "They were kissing and holding hands," an eyewitness tells Hot Stuff of the skating duo, who later retreated to Ohno's presidential suite. The pair, who met at the Colorado Springs Olympic Training Center in May, were just as hands-on during a private dinner at the hotel just a day earlier. Still, sources say neither wants to get too serious too quickly. "Thalia has said she has to have trust established before she can get serious and she's been hurt too many times before to completely trust off the bat," a Suarez source tells Us. But an Ohno pal says it's just a matter of time: "They really like each other. They're not exclusive ... yet. They've both got competitions throughout the year, so it's baby steps until they find their common ground." Reps for both stars declined to comment.
Thalia stood up from the sofa and stormed off to the bathroom in the master room, slamming the door behind her. John took the magazine back from Apolo and stood up saying, "Sorry, Apolo."
Apolo looked calmly grim, and went to the bathroom while John showed himself out. He knocked on the door and called her name, but all he heard were soft sobs. He opened the door and she was sitting on the counter of the sink, crying a little but looking more pissed off than anything.
"Hey," he said. "Don't let that get to you."
"I'm sorry." she said. "I'm going to find out if there really is someone saying stuff about us from my people."
"It's probably made up."
"No, I don't think it is. Only people who are close to me know the deep personal stuff about me. Like how I don't trust people at the beginning. That's not something I go around telling anyone who listens. Someone I trust has just proved why I don't trust. It pisses me off."
"I know,"
Apolo wrapped his arms around her slender shoulders and rubbed her back. He kissed her forehead and softly said, "We'll deal with this tomorrow. Let's stay in tonight. We've only got a few more hours to hang out. We'll eat in and watch movies or something. If you want to."
She slid her hands to his sides and looked up at him with a small smile, unable to help feeling ok about everything. He wiped tears off of her cheeks.
"I hate being in the gossip magazines." she mumbled.
"Yeah, me too. So quit dragging me into them."
He chuckled at his own joke and the pout on her face. He picked her up as if she were a feather and carried her to the living room, her legs wrapped around his waist, her head on his shoulder.
They ordered their food, found some movies, drank white wine and lounged in pajamas around the room.
