He didn't even know what hit him, one moment he was planning something horrible, the next, out cold. Apolo looked at the branch, shocked that it did such damage, then looked at the man. The man once in a relationship with Majory. Who frightened Morning Dew. A deadly calm washed over him. It was coming to and end. All of it...

Thinking at the moment. But I hope to close this chapter soon and start on the ending...

Majory felt an odd sense of calm settle over her. One moment, she was afraid, the next, it was all clear. Now all that had to be done was sit and wait.

Apolo took a deep breath, his eyes still a sandy brown from the strong emotions, turned warm. He couldn't go back to her like this. He put his hand in his pocket and felt the ring.

There was a knock on the door. Wulf bounded and yelped with joy. Majory unlocked the door, though it took her a few good tries with shaking fingers. Flinging them open, she all but jumped into his arms. He held her close as the rain misted on them both. He pulled back far enough, cupped her face in his hands, looked deep into her eyes, and kissed her. It was sweet and lasted long enough for them to come up for breath. He handed her the phone.
"Call the police, it's all over. I just wanted to check on things. I'll come back when they get here."
"Apolo?" Majory asked.
"Yeah baby?"
"I love you, so much."
"I love you too." With a fierce hug, he left her standing there with a dreamy look in her eyes.

The police came and went in a flurry of questions, statements, and patience. Majory stated all that she could call. Feeling drained, and a little afraid. Apolo stood by the door, talking to some youngish detective. Then it was all over. The detective handed him a card. Which he slipped into his pocket. Shani burst through the door. Eyes wide.
"Hell, dude. Are you all right?" Apolo gave a sardonic smile. "You scared me."
"Everything is fine. It's just about over now."
"I know. Yuki's coming to see you tomorrow, so be ready. So's Majory's mom. Mom gives her love."
"Send her mine back, would you?" Shani nodded his head, gripped Apolo's shouder in a strong hand, and grinned. It was going to be okay... after all.

*Two Weeks Later*
Outside the traffic was light, the birds chirped, and love was renewed. Morgana, Damen, and his three children were there as well. The two smiled at each other every chance they got. The two boys and girl took well to Morgana, and all adored Majory. They announced that they were together. No talks of marriage, though you wouldn't know it by looking at them. Yuki sat on the side, eyes sharp. He grunted. Why didn't that boy propose all ready? He had a phone call to make...

Apolo stood in the living room looking a little lost. A loose white button shirt untucked over deep denim jeans. Feet bare. He kept running his fingers through his hair. Eyes distant. While the breeze fluttered the sheer curtains. Bringing in the scent of rain. Tan carpet felt smooth under his steps. Pictures of his accomplishments on the soft white walls. The sound of waves brought him back to the here and now. He pulled out the ring. Staring at it. There were three gems. All square cut. The center a diamond, the two accenting it were a soft muted yellow. One look and he pictured it on Majory's ring finger. He even seen the wedding in his mind. He seen soft yellow. Some white. Hence the ring. He brushed his thumb across his lips. He needed his father's advice. He needed a nice set up to propose. The phone rang. He reached it and answered. "Hello?"
Yuki sighed over the line. "Well, you still carrying that ring around?"
"Yes, Dad. I need some advice?"
"Oh?"
"Yeah, I want to plan the perfect dinner, can you meet me at the store. I want to pick up the groceries first. Then we can go from there. And I need dasies. And a single rose..."
As Apolo continued to talk, Yuki began to smile. About time that boy started to get into gear.
"Son, don't worry about it, I'll be there in a few." Then there was a dial tone. Apolo pouted. Then grabbed his keys, slipped on some shoes, and walked out to his SUV. His father better now what he was doing. His heart was involved.

Majory walked down the clothing line. Her mom ahead of her, trying her best to find something to wear for the big dinner with Damen. She wasn't even nervous. Well not for herself, but for Majory. Yuki called, her baby was going to get married. But first Apolo had to propose, and Majory to say yes, but it was happening. She wanted to sniffle, but held it in.
She then seen a sundress. It was white with sunflowers. She looked over again, then back at the dress. It was perfect. She snatched it up, then seen sandals. She picked those as well.
"Hey Mom." Majory murmured. Morgana jumped. "What do you have there?"
"A surprise. No no," she said as her daughter began to peek, "you'll ruin the surprise." Majory just shrugged, pretended to look, laughed, then went to look for new jewelry.
