Yuki pulled Apolo to the side again and told him that they were riding together, and that Shani would be driving Majory to the house to stay with his mom. He relented and followed his dad to the suv.

Shani was quiet on the ride there. Stealing glances at her. To make sure she was all right. Majory was so silent that it worried him. Her pet in her arms as she soothed him, though it looked like she needed it as much as he did. And just moments before they hit town, she fell asleep. Shani smiled, knowing he would do anything to protect her. He stopped by a fast food place that was still open and ordered food. And got her the basic combo, knowing that she must be hungry. Two mintues after, the pup whining, she opened her eyes. The food wafted to her, and her belly grumbled. Shani laughed, and told her to eat. She did not care if she looked like a pig doing it, but she ate. Giving pieces of hamburger to her awaiting hungry wolf. He gobbled it. Looked at her with such heart melting brown eyes. Shani passed a piece of food the pup's way. He ate it, then licked Shani's hand.

His mom stood in the door way. He was still in awe of his mom, and all that she did for him. By herself. He'd buy her the world, if it made up for all that she did. But she only wanted three things. His love, respect, and happiness. He'd have none without her.
He bound up the steps to her, hugged her close, and kissed her cheek. She smiled, then swatted at him. "Go help her, son." He laughed. That was his mom.
He helped her out, and led her to her to his mom. His mom glanced at the ball of fur in her arms, then sighed. She could deal with that. Then hugged the girl in her arms, rubbed her back, and led her in the house. While Shani got her bags, and an extra sandwich. And made a note to pick up some food for the little guy. Majory just got a new addition in her family, Miss Davis.

Shain's mom walked around in the kitchen. Ran some water for hot cocoa. Sat down Majory, wrapped a quilt around her, and rubbed her arm. Then set a tea kettle down on the stove. She was quiet, that girl, and she knew that she'd be quiet even if tonight didn't happen. She took out coffee mugs. Then the large container of cocoa. Asked the girl if she wanted marshmellows. She nodded. The kettle chose that time to whistle. Majory jumped, put her hand over heart, and shuddered. Cherie went over and soothed Majory, sighing.
****************************************************
Majory smiled sadly at Cherie, then started to cry. She felt so weak. Weak for crying. But she needed a motherly presence, and she found it. Cherie took her in her arms, and let her cry. She cooed, clucked, and soothed. Then silently cursed the mother who was in this young woman's life.
****************************************************
Majory, with her big brown eyes, smiled up at Shani's mother. "Thank you so much. It means a lot to me."
Cherie could only smile. "Oh, sweety, my name's Cherie." She smiled took her hand, and held it out. Majory shook it.
"Now everytime I call you that, I'll think of the Cajuns down in New Orleans. Ma Cherie! Lovely name though." That got a booming laugh from the woman.
"Well, that's new to me. Come on sweety, eat a little more, you and that mutt of yours." It growled at her, and she laughed. "Ok, pup, I'm sorry, better now?" It whimpered, then wiggled for freedom.
"He needs to pee." Cherie picked up the puppy, and fell in love with the gray/black fluff ball.
"Oh, I'll take this handsome young boy, be right back, lock the door behind me, and me, and this wolf will let you know when we are done." Shani's mom smiled big, picked up a hammer from a kitchen drawer. "Use this on someone who comes in. Make sure you don't attack my son, he can be a bit scary in his size." She tinkled out laughter. While Majory laughed, she didn't know. She didn't know that Shani was attacked. She'd keep quiet on this for sure.
****************************************************
Majory mounted the steps wearily. Her legs feeling like rubber. Wobbly. She heard that the two got along out there, she smiled. Cherie could charm the deadliest snakes with that smile, and with the command she had deep inside. And she raised Shani to be the greatest young man. He may be quiet, some considered him to have an ego. But they were wrong. He was a well spoken gentleman, despite his size. And when she read what he got his mom for a 'gift' her heart melted. So much for having an ego.

Cherie laughed at the furry ball tumbling in the yard. It growled, it yipped, it whined. And it stole her heart. Then nearly fell over when it decided to pee. Relieved, it run around in the grass, which was nearly as tall as he was. She shook her head, those boys. They were too much sometimes. Cherie glanced upstairs. Where she knew where Majory would be at. That girl. She needed some love.
She remembered her friend. Who dated Apolo. Such a young life wasted. Morning Dew was her name. Apolo was sweet on her, of course, but something told her, it was more than that with this young lady. One look at her, you could see the guilt. The sorrow. A beauty that was shining through. The pup yelped, at the door, waggling, not only his tail, but his whole bottom. She smiled. It was time for her to get a new addition to the family. "Come on Wulf, time to get some sleep. You are going to bed with me. Oh, we'll check on her. But I need some company myself." He barked at her, saying he agreed with her. Cherie laughed, hugged him to her, took her key, and walked in the door.
****************************************************
Cherie smiled softly. Majory was all ready asleep. She left the puppy on the bed, deciding to come check up on them later. She turned off the lamp, then covered up Majory better. She then turned around and left, shutting the door. She had surpreme hearing. And would be able to listen and watch out for things.

Nora woke with a start, glancing around, finding herself in a cold white room, she huddled, whimpering. Her husband, Ken, jumped from his chair, and came into her view. She cried out softly, they hugged, while weeping. He began to tell her what he knew. Nora came out of the fog, slowly. "What about the girl who saved me, how is she doing, Ken?"
He shook his head. "I don't know that yet honey." And at her fallen face he added, "But I will check as soon as I can." He sighed, knowing she'd get her way in just about every situation now, now that she was found. She looked around her, cautious.
"Good, I have some things I'd like to share with her. If that's okay. Important things."
"Okay, baby, okay. Now you just lay back, and sleep."
"It feels like I slept forever."
****************************************************
Majory sank into the warmth, curled up, and floated in peace. Nothing could harm her here. Nothing, and no one. She dreamt of wonderful things, sweet things. Drifting along. Going along with the flow of thing. She dreamt of him, mumurmed in her sleep, as she felt strong arms wrap around her, hold her close, and sighed. She was in love.
