Apolo stood with Majory in his arms, felt her tremble. He petted her, hoping it would calm her, if only a little. Everything was a mess, he thought, lost. Pressing his cheek to hers, inhaling the rain scented air. Felt her cling, noises still escaping. He then moved ever so slightly, felt her sob. Whispering to her, telling her it wasn't her fault, all would be fine. He couldn't stand to see her so, he then gave in, and kissed her. Majory sighed against him. Their breaths mingled, and Apolo felt her relax against him, melting really. Shuddering, gasping, purring. She felt his soul patch graze against her. Rough, but sweet.
She pulled back, cradled his sore arm, fingers tracing his bandage. "I wish you weren't hurt, Apolo. I feel bad. I hope you heal. I'll worry until you do, you know." She put her face in his chest. He rubbed her back. They heard footsteps, they broke apart, Apolo placing himself in front of Majory. She tugged at him, trying to get him to move, but he wouldn't.
That is how Yuki found them. He sighed, until he flashed the light on Apolo's arm. He spoke in quick bursts. Then went up to him. Looked at his arm, shook his head, questions in his eyes. He didn't flash the light in Majory's face. But it went to the body, he grimaced. He heard Shani come up to them. He turned.

Shani stopped just feet away, and waited for Yuki to come up to him. "Shani, take Majory back to the cabin, go in the back door, and have her sit down. I'll stay here with my son. Soon we will figure this out."
"Sure thing." He went up to Majory, pulled at her, and took her into his arms, offering a warm friendly hug.
"Oh, Shani, I was never so afraid as I was tonight!" He noticed Apolo's face, it spoke of envy, he smiled slyly. Ah, so that's how it was, he was falling for the girl.

Shani lead her back to the cabin, seeing as red and blue lights flashing, knowing he had to talk, more than that, Majory had to talk. Apolo came towards them, his expression that of a bull, nose flaring, eye brows slanted down. Shani choked on his laughter. But his friend noticed. "What's so funny?"
"Ah, nothing." But he still grinned. His friend turned to Majory, his feelings shining in his eyes. While she blushed, looking around.
The uniformed officers got out of the car, walking up to the group. The leader was tall, broad, with blond hair and blue eyes. He stopped and took out his badge, flashed it, then took out a notebook. Turning to Apolo first, he grimaced.
"I'm officer Burke. I'm only going to ask a few questions, and let you go, but I want you back at the station later on in the day. I know it's late. But we need a better understanding of what is going on. Are you willing to answer some questions?"
Apolo spoke first, "Yes sir, but could Majory change first? She's damp, and chilly. She won't touch any evidence."
Burke glanced at her. "Ma'am, I'd ask if you take this gentelman here," he pointed to Shani, "with you, while I ask your young man some questions while I wait for you."
She nodded readily. Apolo grabbed her hand, squeezed, then slowly let her go. Majory turned and left, with Shani by her side.

Shani placed a hand on her shoulder, and kept her close by. She then remembered her wolf pup. She called for him, with in seconds he was by her side, yelping, Majory leaned down, and picked up the wriggling black gray mass. She inhaled his scent. Then she went to the back door, with Shani behind her. She refused to look at the mess, and how close she was to real danger. Her shoes crunching over broken glass. Shani cleared his throat. Gave her the light, and told her that he'd wait in the hall way. Majory nodded, greatful for him.
Rushing through the drawers, she finally got new clothes ready. Yoga pants, a shirt, and a hoodie. She took off the wet clothes, and put on the new. Knowing she'd leave, not being able to stay. She packed a couple of change of clothes, put her hair in a tail, she picked up her bag, purse, phone, and her puppy, she met Shani in the hall. She smiled, thanking him.

Apolo was still tallking to the police, when an ambulance pulled up, he pointed the way to the body, they nodded, and asked how far they could drive with out trouble, he answered a few feet, then turn on a light, from a cop car, and they'll get a good view from there. The ambulance moved a few feet up, then stopped, a cop car pulled up beside it, shone it's light, and they got out, pulled out what they needed, and went to Yuki and the body.

Yuki was by the woman, who, shockingly, was alive. There was a pulse, thready, but there. Yuki bowed his head, thankful. The EMT crew came up and looked at him. "She's alive, guys. She was drugged, don't know what with. I'd like to be the one to be here, until you load her up, and I'll call the husband, if needed."
"Thank you, Mr. Ohno. Will do." They found an ID card, he dialed the number, with in seconds, there was an answer.
"Hello? Where is my wife? Nora?"
Yuki cleared his throat. "Sir, We found her. She's alive." There was a sigh at the other end. "She was drugged, but they are taking her now, I'll hand the phone over to one of the workers." He heard the man sob, and he himself thought of his own love.
**************************************************** Majory went up to Officer Burke, nervous, hungry, tired. But most of all, cold, cold with fear. He offered to interview her in the car, and she agreed. Picked up Wulfric, who was whining ever since she put him down. He lead her there. Apolo and Shani watched in silence. She shuddered. But then spoke, it came out easily enough. Every little detail she could think of, closing her eyes, and let it come Burke took notes in short hand.
He noticed how she was wary. Dark circles under brown eyes. They nearly had a reddish tent to it. A deep brick red mixed with brown. He seen clay like that. He shook his head. And went back to his notes. Seen her shudder, grabbed a small throw he kept in the car. He had to pick up children, and tried to keep them comfortable. They got lost, scared, or in trouble. She wrapped it around her, and the wolf pup, he smiled. He thought it was time to get his girl a puppy. He'd look soon, but a small one, def. a lap dog.
She looked at him, clearly tired. "It's okay, I'll just remind you where you left off. I may not be there, part of the day, but I have an officer whom you may be comfortable to be around. I'll have the cops drive by every hour, once you get settled in. You need anything, let me know. Call the station, and they'll page me."
"No, that's okay, I don't want to be a bother."
"I have a sister in law, she reminds me of you, I'll rest easy if I know that you will be doing fine."
She nodded. "Okay, will do. But hopefully it won't be enough to call you at home."
Officer Burke smiled. "So, what kind of dog would be good for my little girl." He looked at the puppy. "A small dog."
She smiled. "A friend of mine had a scottie growing up, they are sweet, hyper, but sweet, and lovable. Your daughter would love it, and hers like cats too. Don't see that everyday."
"No, you don't. Good bye, Majory. Rest well, as well as you can."
She nodded.

Apolo argued with Yuki, but to no avail. He wouldn't be staying with Majory, how would he know that she was safe, how she was, Yuki glared at him, told him not to argue, and left it at that.

Shani's mother arrived at her son's place. But he wasn't there, that worried her, she had the key, and let herself in, and called him.
"Hello?"
"Baby, where are you?"
"Long story short, at the cabin. Mom, could you do me a favor?"
"Anything, you know that."
"Majory, who just flew from the east coast, over here, was attacked." His mom gasped, he flinched in guilt. "Would you let her stay there with you, Mom?"
"Yes, darling, yes, you staying with Yuki still?"
"Only for tonight. She needs a woman with her for now. She's had a scare. Oh, and she's bringing her pet wolf."
"Wolf!"
"It's a wolf pup, half and half, he's barely 8 weeks old. He won't leave her side." She gulped.
"Oh-okay. Well bring her here sweety."
"Okay, Mom, glad to have you here."
"I know, baby, I know."
