Majory stumbled. The whole night's worth of events crashing over her head. She leaned over, and retched. Her stomach acting violently. After, she rolled over, and curled into a little ball. Ignoring the damp grass, she rocked back and forth, and sobbed. She hated being sick. She fainted, was threatened, and falling for her dead friend's boyfriend. Left home, started new, and for what. To have her life turned upside down. Why did her powers come to her. Why did she fall for Shani as a friend. Because, because he was misunderstood. He's special. He had liked her.
She'd give anything to have him there at the moment. She cried her eyes out. She had been crying, sleeping, remembering. And was falling for Apolo. He got hurt because of her. She grimaced at the memory, her stomach protesting again. She got up, a dizzy spell hit her hard. Distant lightning flashed. The wind still blew hard, she shivered. Damp, cold, sick. Walking now, huddled. Her face wet with tears.
Majory gasped, a cougar stood just feet before her, lifting her lip. She scented the air, mouth open, tongue out. Then thought her not a threat. She yowled. Pacing, purring. Majory walked to her, afraid, the cat looked at her, eyes glowing yellow/green in the night. Then glanced at her, purred, waited, then paced again. She looked big, hoping she was still pregnant, knowing she would be dangerous if any cubs were born. The cat kept looking at her, she was protecing something, but it was too large to be a litter of cubs. Majory stepped closer, inhaling the night air herself.
Cooing at the cat, though it wasn't needed. Closer, closer. The cougar brushed against her, Majory gasped, adrenaline thumping through her body. A cougar could rip and tear. Kill and stalk. This one looked at her. Rubbing against her, and nudged her hand. She couldn't help but to sink her fingers into the fur of the wild cat. She purred herself, petted the majestic creature. Then the cat puffed a breath, glanced at her, gave a sound that sounded like a meow, then lopped off. Her eyes touching her now and again.
Majory went foward. Not looking, though it would of been hard. And seen something that looked like a body. Leaves covered it. Majory gulped, then got closer. Then, screamed, and for the second time that night, she fainted...

Apolo growled, still in pain, wrapped the blasted wound, sore, and angry at Majory for running out on him! What was she thinking? The killer was out there. He jumped, heart in his thoat. And scented a pugent odor, that of a wild cat. Then he heard her, Majory screamed. It sent chills down his spine, he shook, cut the bandage, taped it, then ran out into the night after her...

He ran, head throbbing, arm aching, tired, dizzy, confused. Thoughts going to the cougar, was she hurt, worse. Winded, scared, he ran. Head lights broke through the dark night. It was his father, he thought. He sure hoped so...

Majory was falling, into a bottom-less pit. Would it ever end? She sure hoped so.

Apolo nearly tripped on her, he gulped, holding his injured arm to his chest. He knelt next to her, feeling for a pulse. Found it, then sighed. His eyes then found the body, he held his head down, prayed, then nudged Majory. She woke with a gasp. "Apolo?"
"Yeah, it's me. How are you?"
"The body..." She whimpered.
"Yeah, I know, come on, get up, we need to get you all cleaned up, you're cold, and wet." He would of helped, but his own vision blurred. He grunted when she all but jumped into his arms.
"I'm so scared!" She held onto him, and sighed while he kissed her head.

Yuki stopped at the front door. He reached out for the door, it was broken into. "Shani, get the flashlight."
Shani did as he said, Yuki's voice was harsh. It meant something bad had happened. And he meant business...
****************************************************
Shani hurried back to Yuki with the flashlight. He only got glimpses of what happened, and he didn't like what he saw. The door had been broken into, the living room held muddy footprints, leaves, and debri. Yuki held his hand up. "Evedince." Shani pulled back. He was right. Yuki shone the flashlight on the floor, stepping over the prints. He knew they were not his son's, Apolo had smaller feet. He got chills at what he seen, stab marks marred the couch, coffee table, carpet, pillows...
The kitchen had broken glass, tape, paper, blood. He stopped, tears in his eyes, worried it was his son's blood. Peroxide sat on the table, along with candles still aglow, he blew them out, grabbed a lamp for Shani. Poor girl, he thought as he shook his head, she must be so afraid. There was some ointment as well, someone was indeed hurt. He back tracked into the hall, and heard growling, and spied a wolf pup, he growled at him, which took Yuki by surprise, it then ran past him, and to Shani. The bathroom door had a large hole through it. Yuki's legs buckled. The bathroom window had been blasted too. Dots swam into his vision, until he spied a shell. Not giving a d@mn, he picked one up, took a good look, then sighed, it was from the gun he got for Apolo one year. He then wondered why he did it. His only guess was to get to Majory. Then, who was hurt, who did this, where was his son, and sweet Majory?

Shani stood in the door way, waiting word for Yuki, when his phone rang. It was the police. "Hello."
"Mr. Davis, sir?"
"Yes."
"You still in need of our assistance?"
"Yes, there is a scene, someone broke in."
"Oh, my. Well someone called, a missing person was called in, it sounded urgent, we have a few cars coming, I'll tell one to stop by where you are at."
"Thank you, ma'am."
"No problem, Mr. Davis, sir.
