Majory curled into a little ball, trying to become smaller. But he was still there, still gazing in with those killing blue eyes. He actually tapped on the window, and laughed. It was sinister. She gulped, then crawled into the bathroom. Shutting the door, and locking it. The lights flickered, not that it mattered, he'd find her anyway...

Apolo was with in minutes of the cabin, the dread growing with each passing mile. What if something happened to her? He didn't even get to apologize. Guilt began to eat at him. He pressed on the gas, then seen a deer, he turned the wheel. He ran off the road, onto the trail, he kept going, his heart thundering in his ears. He hoped he ended up there in time.

The lights finally went out. Majory whimpered. Then crawled to the bath tub, placing her pet in first. Then grabbed her razor, it was hardly a weapon, but she'd use it anyway. She shuddered even harder. Keening cries coming out. What was going to happen to her? "Oh, God, no." She whispered out loud. She hoped Apolo never got her message. She tried to tell herself that he was still sleeping, even if it meant her doom, she'd want him safe...
****************************************************The man laughed, knowing full well where that little witch hid. The storm was a perfect cover. He'd scare her some. Then he'd leave. But he'd come back...

The cougar yelled again, this time it's scream ended in a yowl, almost as if it were hurt. Majory flinched, hoping all was well. The scraping against the cabin continued. Louder and louder. Closer and closer. She wimpered, fearing for her life. She thought of Morning Dew then.
What do I do? How do I survive? Where are you?
A crash sounded outside the door. Sounding like a dish breaking. She heard footsteps. Echoing through the hall way. And soft whispering..."Come out, come out, where ever you are." It was him! He was coming for her. What was she going to do? Time slowed, nearly stopping, she heard a blast. It was loud, too loud, it sounded like a shot gun. Majory covered her head as glass shattered, sprinkling over her. The wind howled, rain blasted through the now destroyed window. Everything else seemed so still, so quiet. But Majory knew better. Her doom on stood a few feet away. Weapon drawn. She prayed to God, the fear then eased, her body loosening, her breathing softer. Then, with out warning, she had fainted.

Apolo held the shot gun in his hands. His gut had told him that Majory was in there, he didn't mean to scare her like that, but it was a warning to the killer. He shook with untold fury. The wind blowing his hair in his face. He stood there. Hazel eyes gleaming. Flashes of flury lightning lit up the sky. Booming. Then he seen him. Scurrying out of the house, laughing. His eyes squinted, the guy actually doubled over laughing. With out warning, he went up to him, stuck the gun to his skull, and spoke between his teeth.
"Come here again, and I will make sure you'll pay. You hit Shani, knocked me out, but if you touch, or even think about her, I'll kill you, and make sure that it's slow and painful. Now, get out of here!"
The guy swung around, a knife in his hand, and sliced a cut through his arm. Apolo hissed. It stung, the blood dripping down his arm. He swung the gun, knocking the guy in the head, he grunted, but didn't go down. The killer turned, was going to do more damage, but the glint in those eyes stopped him cold. "It's not over yet..."
Apolo shoved the barrel of the gun into the guys gut. He smiled, his smile of threat, of no remorse, he meant it. The killer jerked back, sneered, and ran for it.
