MODIFY: And there is no information on Apolo's site about the World Team event. Maybe April should just come HERE to get her news and info to update Apolo's site.... maybe she does

Yes! Right this minute YOU could be doing touristy things in Harbin, China, (when not hunkering down at the rink observing extremely fit men in spandex skinsuits) instead of doing completely boring, trivial activities such as, ohhhh...earning a living. Yawn. Speaking of...Apolo's famous pre-race "all is well" yawn. Well no, not really. But isn't he a cute little guy? These are the rare Siberian tigers of the Hengdaohezi Feline Breeding Center just outside of Harbin. Nice kitties! Well now, lookie-loo! Harbin has technology! This thingamajingy looks like it is capable of sending actual television signals, of say, short track speedskating World Cup events. ISU officials, take note! Harbin has an annual ice festival because (there's no easy way to tell you this) they have a heck of a lot of ice. You packed every stitch of warm clothing you own, right? Well, if all else fails, get really, really friendly with the speedskater of your choice. Because I'm gonna bet that he's really, really, cold too. There are local transportation "issues". You came for the adventure, right? Unfortunate things tend to happen when you overdo it at the hotel bar. ST fans, you have been warned. Apolo! Stop yawning already! Ah...game face. That's better! (...lots of dinosaur fossils from this part of China.) Go get 'em tiger!

I can't find anything online as far as a live feed for World Team Champs.
I know CCTV-5 is the channel that usually has anything short track [for China], but I've been searching and searching for any tv schedule and so far...nada.
I'm gonna keep looking since there are a lot of places that have live feed for CCTV-5, but I don't if they will even show short track.
I'll keep my fingers crossed though.

This must be the first time in many years that Apolo's competed in the World Team Championships isn't it? if I recall he skipped it maybe the past 2-3 years? so, it's great that he's competeing in it this year.
And yep, a long drought for the summer. I follow figure skating as well, and next week is the World Figure Skating Championships...it'll be a long drought after that too lol.
Ah, the price you pay for loving the winter sports.

Susie, thank you for those fun pics and a little taste of China. I have a friend who taught ESL there for two years. She visited some of her students in the countryside and said most homes don't have heat despite the frigid temperatures. That's why they're basically one or two rooms. You sleep bundled up on your mats, then venture outside to the bathroom. Glad the athletes' hotel looks so great! Karma to you for your time in posting these pics. Lori, thanks for the time conversion. I'm impressed! I'll drop in when I can to see what's up. Welcome, bubblebuttsbabe. You're new here, aren't you?! Mind if I refer to you as BBB, or perhaps "bubble", for short? What is the origin of that screen name? By the way, love your little "fan" box. Hey, is this my 500th post yet? I know I'm close! ;D MODIFY: Hey, this is 501st post! I'm ultimate now! Do I get an iron-on patch now, like a girl scout? P.S. I look forward to the summer Olympics, too. Can't wait to introduce my son to all these sports.
