Is it him or not? That, is the question.
The picture is so unclear that yes, it could be Apolo. I agree with Kirkland that he has lips that stand out. But, I can also see some feminine qualities in which it could be a female. To me, the nose is not his. It makes for good speculation.
That being said: I say, Who knows? Who cares? Whomever it is, it looks like they are having a good time.

Oh kirkland, kirkland, what ever shall we do with you?  But we still love ya!  Count me as jeer #2  Yeah, I saw the B & W, and it's still ridiculously blurry. Messing with the photo doesn't make it any more clear and no amount of sharpening, lightening, cropping or coloring will redeem it to anything definable. I will say the above photo is missing something in Apolo that is very prominent. Eyebrows. They're thick, black and noticeable, which would be bound to show up in a photo and certainly be even more prominent in black and white. (Guess he plucked 'em for NYE in addition to the lipstick...boy, we're just moving closer and closer to getting him into that sequined shirt aren't we?...  ) ....but, hey, far be it from me to destroy 'the dream'....  MODIFY: You're right Evie5. Who knows, who cares - it's just the usual GA silliness. (And you have to admit, I have been really behaving myself lately- but you just knew it couldn't last!)  |

I think you can see either female or Apolo in this picture, depending on how you want to see it. The B/W version that I saw on DI is smaller, therefore the resolution is not as diluted, and the soul patch appears to be there also. Also, someone had a particular profile shot of him next to the B/W that was uncanny. I agree, who cares? Everything is so quiet, we are just bored!!! I mean, we must be bored for Mtnme to post that photo...even out of sarcasm.

I am prepared to risk loosing any credibility I ever had and any respect ever afforded me by Mtnme! I think it IS Apolo.  Please note that I was tempted to post this as a GUEST! Cannot wait to hear all your jeers! I'm not jeering, kirkland, but I really don't think it's Apolo. It's so blurry, but the nose and lip shape just don't look right. It's likely, I would think, that he and Julianne saw each other over the holidays; they are friends. And Apolo is very loyal. I'm just not convinced this is a pic of him. If he were there, wouldn't someone have a better photo? Or is everyone warned not to post photos of them together? As for Zach, I really have no opinion. I just wish all three of them the best in their love lives, however it works out. I confess to having been struck with the possibility of a relationship between Apolo and Julianne. I think there was some kind of crush during DWTS, but I don't think they acted on it. And I haven't seen any kind of evidence since that makes me think they're secretly dating. In the long run, they just might not be right for each other. But I do think they enjoy each other as friends, that they talk as much as their schedules allow, etc. Anyway, if we're looking for solid evidence of a current relationship of any sort, I just don't think this pic is it!  |

OK...my 2 cents. My vote is no. It's not Apolo. 1) His nose is not turned up like that. 2) I've never seen that much forehead on him. 3) He smiles up, not down. The upper lip on that person seems to dip downward at the corner. His does not. 4) His lips are well defined, not dark like those in the pic.
There. My opinion only.

I didn't think it was Apolo in the background that pic when I first saw in it's entirety, (Julianne on NYE holding her little cousin in her lap at her dad's house all dolled up and in a coat suggesting she may have been getting ready to leave) BUT, I do now think it's Apolo after looking at the pic in black and white against some other profile shots of him at that site. As for the lips - Apolo has those beautiful naturally mauve colored lips. A darker pigment than a lot of men have.
I believe there are feelings other than just friendship between Apolo and Julianne, but that they have decided to remain just friends for the immediate future. Julianne's comment on a radio interview a few months ago, about maybe something could happen between her and Apolo at some point, leads me to believe if it were stricky up to her, they would probably have already been dating. Who knows.

well i am glad that my post got you all talking.....
sincerely....i hardly every post here as I am first and foremost "a die hard DWTS fan (hee hee hee)", but I lurk everyday and enjoy all the short track news of Apolo and all your comments....
i hope one day to see apolo race in person and experience what you all have experienced...
i am not even going to comment on julianne/apolo/allison/zack friendships or relationships or whatever they are...i have another board for that..... and even if i did, i would be flayed, whipped, etc...here so quickly my head would spin....but I do enjoy your "snarky" ways...

I'm afraid I have to disagree with my pal Kirland and say I really don't think it is Apolo....at least I pray to God not or we have bigger issues than whether he's with Julianne or not! That said, this is coming from someone used to focusing on and dissecting other parts of his anatomy and not used to concentrating on the facial region. Just sayin'.  |
