dwtsfan, thanks for the link to that young woman's blog about seeing Apolo. I am so glad she was nice about replying to questions. Sounds like she's joined the Apolo fan club... maybe she'll show up here someday. Maybe the blond shortly after New Year's was Julianne and the brunette more recently is Allison.  I just said that to see what your reaction would be mntme.  Seriously, this blogger needs to read up on the short track female skaters so she can recognize who is by his side! Thanks, evie, for the Olympic article. That's a fun read. I'm so excited that my son is old enough now to maybe understand the Olympics a bit. He'll be four for this summer, and six in two years. Here's hoping they inspire him!  I wonder if John Powers is underestimating the medal count for 2010? If those 3 are from Apolo, I surely see one or two of the girls sneaking in for a medal, if not another of the guys. It will be fun to see! sk8on, thanks for the news about Shani's win. I am so proud of him for continuing to skate despite "all" the controversies and difficulties of his career. He is consistent, and I think that's key. Some of these other athletes are hit or miss, and you can't build a team on that! (I will refrain from naming names.)  |

I've taken a pm poll, and not only is it unanimous that the photo isn't Apolo, but it is also unanimous the pic is actually a girl. -And a girl with SERIOUS lipstick on at that. ...unless, Heaven Forbid, Apolo has decided to go a different way with his 'look'.  |

Okay, a blond with fly-away hair. Could be Julianne, but we have no face! A dark haired person behind and facing another way. Hard to distinguish any features, but finally the red lips popped out. So, yeah. I'm going with: it's two random girls. How could this be proof of anything? Whatever happened to "beyond a reasonable doubt"?

i agree, there is no proof lol, i think Apolo has lots of friends who are girls, lol look at the ST team, some are brunettes and some are blonde, perhaps he hangs with them as well.
i don't know, it's not something i like to talk about, because i like to talk about apolo the short-track athlete, olympic medalist, DWTS winner, and a great mentor and my hero,
as for his personal life, that should stay personal.

...but I still ain't buying that's Apolo.

That is not Apolo I don't think we will ever see Apolo in lipstick intentionally although he probably wore makeup on DWTS.To me Apolo is not girly in any way.

I am prepared to risk loosing any credibility I ever had and any respect ever afforded me by Mtnme! I think it IS Apolo. I definitely thought it was a woman in the beginning, until I saw a B/W version of this photo and a similar profile shot of Apolo. This mystery person has side burns, the same smile, and and open face shirt. Also, the color is darkened and enhanced in that photo (look at the color of the skin in general and walls - thus the darker than normal lip color). Apolo has darker than average lips. I am 90% certain it is Apolo. BUT.....I do not think they are a "couple", and I think Julianne is back with Zack. Please note that I was tempted to post this as a GUEST! yeah I have often thought that J and Z weren't over!But I am also one that is pretty sure Apolo may be back with Julianne.He could have just been over there as her friend and spending the new year with her family that is possible!

A guy who won't wear sequins, ruffles and chest baring shirts for a dance show certainly won't be donning lipstick for a New Years Eve party in THIS lifetime! (...and I'm definitely not implying he would! LOL!) But I take it your vote is: __X__ Nooooooo, that pic is DEFINITELY not Apolo. (But could be a girl? Possibly with or without lipstick?... ) |
