Yes, ohnoagain!! Please go next. Here's a little bit more about KC from Apolo's autobiography (and how sweet KC was to Apolo when he was a kid):
"My 13th year ended with a large local club competition. The grand finale was a 3000-meter race with all age groups... it meant a lot to me to do well. I remember skating as hard as I could, rounding a corner and suddenly feeling a huge push from behind. One of the seniors, KC, who is now a long tracker, had given me a push so I could go faster... [he] could have easily beaten me but he saw how hard I was trying and wanted to help. He was a cool cat then and he still is today. I came in 2nd and I was super happy. KC probably doesn't even remember the race... It's strange how a single, important moment in one person's life might not be memorable to another..."

In 2002, Apolo went to the Domnican Republic for a photoshoot...(the pics where he's shirtless on a beach, in a white tank top running, on a boat, and pictured with a guy and a pregnant girl lol...also Apolo ran into former President Clinton and had photo-op with him.
Next...taped up skates

Uncle. I give. There was a part in the book where he mentioned his boots were getting weak and no longer providing support, but nothing about tape.

Ok....well you're almost right ...I believe it was the 2004-05 season and he was wearing those shiny silver/chrome skates, and he said they weren't fitting right at the top/weren't providing enough support and he did infact, have them taped up at the top...it was white tape so it kinda blended with the skates but was still noticable.
