I know alot has been said in the past about Apolo's endorsements but who does he endorse now I know of Landroller for sure.I am also curious to know what kind of money they make when do these endorsements? In any rate I doubt he is hurting financially.

I'm so glad you started this thread, Missy! I'd been wanting to talk about it, too, since I'm not sure myself.
One I know for sure is Roots apparel. He wears their gear all the time, and has done appearances (or maybe just one appearance) at a Roots store. Bella, isn't that where you met him?
I also see a lot of advertising on his skinsuits when he's racing, but I don't know if those are *team* endorsements or personal ones of his. Ones I've noticed are ADT and Qwest.
Someone mentioned beef jerky on a thread a while ago--was that an endorsement, really? Gotta go dig that up.

I don't think he's hurting, either, Missy...
But, does anyone remember how much he got paid for winning Dancing with the Stars?
Also--how much do skaters get paid for placing or winning in a race?

I saved this post from somewhere, I think it was TWoP:
Someone posted earlier that the celebrities get $25,000 per week (including the three non-performance weeks of rehearsal leading up to the start of the season). Thus, each celebrity is guaranteed $125,000 (3 non-performance weeks and 2 performance weeks). For making the finals, Apolo, Joey and Laila would each have received a total of $325,000 (3 non-performance weeks and 10 performance weeks). I would assume that the professional dancers received less but that it would still be tied to their couple's success.
(I hope the winner of the whole thing got a nice big bonus! Oh, and I think I read that the dancers make about $7000 a week -- not sure of that figure though, my memory's a bit dim and I didn't keep the post)

$325,000!!!!!! That's alot.
Of course he's a millionaire. I don't think people realize exactly how much money he makes. Plus, it's very nice to see that he doesn't bragg about it or flaunt it around like these other celebrities and such. People need to be looking up to him (and all these other Olympic athletes) instead of all these actors and actresses who are going to jail and getting DWI's and who knows what else. I hate that these Olympic athletes don't get much recognition between the Olympics. I think it's a shame that they're only noticed every four years then thrown into oblivion.

Even though Apolo has been paid a lot in endorsements it takes a lot of money for him to compete at his level. He has to pay for his trainer, skates, transportation, now housing, food and don't forget his taste in clothing!!! I am glad that he is being paid well because that means he can concentrate on his skating without worrying about the financial aspects.

yeah I have noticed he does have great taste when it comes to clothing but it is funny to hear what he says about some of the wardrobe for dancing with the stars.I couldn't believe how much the blades alone on his skates went for when I was browsing a skating website which I think is one of his endorsements.1500 just for the blades.

I believe that if you're an elite skater (that is, qualify to train at the national training center, which i guess is now SLC) that USS gives you a certain amount of money. It should be enough to adequately cover some things, but I'm sure it doesn't cover new skates and such. It's the people who aren't elite skaters that really feel the financial stress.
