That sounds very chick, CG. I'd buy it! For my son, too. As for Apolo brand clothes, that would be cool, too. I'd love to have the letters A*P*O*L*O plastered across my chest and, ehemm, seat on a pair of sweats. (Giggle)

In Apolo's Autobio, his dedication mentions this:
"I especially want to thank those who see me as a person as well as an athlete. This book is for you."
In my opinion, that means all of our talking about him and Allison, and his charity work, and what he is wearing to what premiere is merited. It is simply talking about him as a person/celebrity in addition to his athletic career.

I think it's just talking about like appreciating what he does and representing our country. I'm not sure. But ya.

Exactly! I mean I think that we try, especially as women, to romantize certain celebrity relationships, especially when a couple "looks cute" or "seems perfect" for each other. But everything ain't always what it seems. I read what Apolo wrote in his autobiography about the first girl, it was very touching, but she kinda open up a new side for him. Now he has Alison, who probably is a good girlfriend for now. But that doesn't mean that he is ready. Sometimes we meet people that building blocks to eventually good partners....and then sometimes we meet people very, very young who are good for us. And then we meet them much later. If he ain't has his "young love" by now, then he probably hasn't met her yet. And that's just the truth. The more women realize this the better off they will be. Listen to the married women ladies! Woww! that's totally true!! I agree with u!! (but i'm not married! :-*hehe) Remember that we learn about our mistakes...and if like this case is about relationship..well, we learn about the past experiences(relationships)....

I had one poster asked me if I was married and one poster gave me congrats on being engaged I'm neither ;D

I just finished reading A Journey a few weeks ago. Honestly, if anyone had told me I'd be that moved by 153 pages penned by a 20yr old boy I'd tell them they're nuts. I was though. It was an incredible read. In all the interviews and appearances Apolo made in 2002 he was always so full of good cheer that you would never guess what a hellish road he'd traveled. The rift with his father that he made light of on Leno actually ran so much deeper than his mirthful recount suggested. I didn't know. I had no idea how much physical pain he'd endured, not to mention the illnesses. I was seething about how his coaches and trainers responded to his injuries. Snap him back together like a broken Barbie doll and set him back on the ice without so much as a doctor visit! If I'm wrong about that, please correct me, but that's how it came across. Still, it wasn't all about the bad times. Much was said about the strengthening of his skills, body, mind, and character. How his winning would be meaningless had he never experienced the pain of loss. How his victories were particularly sweet because he'd given his all to the effort of achieving them. If I didn't have enough reasons to be proud of Apolo prior to reading this book... It was icing on the cake. Oh and the pictures! What a cute little thing he was! Particularly the one, age 3 with the balloons. I love the back cover pic too. The yoga pose on the block of ice. Stunning! I'd like to have that one poster sized on my wall. Like many others, I wish he'd write about the years between Salt Lake and Torino. From the time he discovered he was a "celebrity" in '02 to the night he raised his hands in victory having just snagged his second olympic gold in '06. I'd love to know how he felt about what was happening in his world during those years. Perhaps he will tell us. Lets hope so!

August I totally agree. It's amazing what Apolo has gone through, mentally and physically, to get to where he is. It's inspiring to know how he takes every loss or challenge as an opportunity to grow. It was great to hear the story of his journey in his own words.
I also love the back cover pic! He looks so d**n good! So beautiful and serene!
Let's hope we get another book from Apolo. He really has a gift for writing.
