I would probably want to ask him questions that are absolutely no one's business. I'd like to ask him if it hurts that his Mom was not in his life. I would like to know what political party he belongs to. I would like to know what things make him sad...angry...happy. Questions like that. He'd probably (and rightly so) kindly tell me it's none of my business. Those are the questions I would like to ask. In real life, I am far too shy and private of a person to ask questions like that. I would probably ask if he blow dries his hair or lets it air dry. ;D I have often wondered.  |

Rose, I would also like to know about his mom. My father left when I was about two and so I'm very close with my mother. I would be fascinated to know what it's like to be on the other side of the spectrum (only having a father).
Edit: Although I clearly wouldn't ask because it's none of my business! lol. But I do find that scenario fascinating.

Aw Rose, he wouldn't say it's none of your business and I'll tell you why. Popular personalities like our sweet Apolo, know what to expect in interviews by who's interviewing them. Teeny bopper magazines will want to know his favorite color and what he looks for in a girl. Sports Illustrated will ask about his skating and the Olympics. That godawful Howard Stern will go straight to the topic of his sex life. But the B.Walters, serious type interviews (and it seems like that's what you have in mind too) always delve deeper, and he'll know that going in. If it's a problem he'd simply decline the interview or respectfully request that those not be asked. Personally I think your questions are great and I'd love to know the answers.

I totally understand Rose! It'd be interesting to know all that. At the same time tho, I kinda like that he keeps it private. I don't know about you, but I get tired of celebrities telling everyone EVERYTHING, lol. But a few things would be nice,  . |

I would ask..
If you had the choice between changing one thing in your past and everything would turn out different and knowing everything about the future and not being able to change anything or warn anyone about what will happen, which would you choose?

I respect and like the fact that Apolo keeps much of his personal life private. A few things would be nice, though, as you say. I meant to comment last time I posted on this thread and I forgot....you mentioned that you were raised by your Mom. I am very sad your father left when you were two. I can't imagine how hard that must have been for you. But I think it is wonderful that you are close to your Mom. |
