Bella, I sometimes look at men in ties and think I'd go nuts if I were a man and had to wear one. They look very uncomfortable to me. That is adorable that your son said Apolo was wearing a gentleman's suit! I love that! ;D You mentioned before that your hubby watched the show with you, too. That is so nice! i was on the edge of my seat the entire time. imagine the relief when "Apolo and Julianne...you are safe." ahhhhhh i was happyyyy. Yes, that was nerve-racking! I knew he would be safe, but the waiting still drove me crazy! I, too, was imagining how Apolo and Julianne must have felt.

Hahahaha - the ballroom dance world can only take so much hillbilly, huh, Heather? His kids sure were cute routing for their Pop, though. Cute siggy! Speaking of kids, I came home late last night so my husband the taped the show for me. My 5 year old was still up when the show came on so he got to see Apolo dance. By the time I got home, my son was in bed, but this morning, he said to me. "Mama, I saw Apolo on TV last night, and he was wearing a gentleman's suit!" LOL! that is so cute....my boys aren't that cute anymore...they just keep walking around saying.."face facts mom..he's gay"!! ugh!! boys are so much cuter at 5 ....than 17 and 18...

Whatever Apolo dances next week, I think he will do just fine. At least he doesn't count as he dances like BRC does. While watching the recap show, I saw BRC counting, and that is one of my pet peeves. Whether it's watching DWTS or a dance team competition on ESPN, if I see a person counting it irks me. You should never show the public that you are not sure of the dance count or steps. That should all be done in your head while performing a dance. You know what's funny, most Ballroom/Latin male dancers are straight. Like a good 95% of them

Apolo made a phoner into a local radio station this morning. Luckily, I had the radio on & was in my office, so I had pen & paper ready to take notes for you all. Here's what he had to say... ~First off, he said his feet hurt!! LOL!! But, that he was having a great time, even though it's unlike anything he's ever done before. But, that he was trying his best. ~He said that dancing is 100% different than skating. Mainly, the posture. He said people keep telling him that it should be easy for him because he's an athlete, but he said that wasn't so. He said the body posture, holds etc...are much different than what he's used to. ~He said that the Quickstep was hard for him, because it's such a proper ballroom dance. He said he struggled all week trying to get the posture and frame right & that he spent 4 days learning how to hold his frame properly. ~The male DJ commented that Julianne was "hot" - Apolo just laughed and said that Julianne choreographs all their routines. He also said he thought she was the best dancer out there. (Everybody say it with me...awwww) ~He mentioned that they have been getting alot of support, via emails. But that he just wants to stay on as long as possible and that they are trying to win. ~The female DJ then noted that they look very good together and seem to have a great relationship & great chemistry. She asked him if he was single or married. He replied with his trademark response, "single but dating." The DJ asked if he had a steady g-friend, but he never replied, as the DJ's were talking back n' forth! ~The DJ again mentioned their chemistry and noted that Julianne was "legal" - he laughed & said yes, she's legal, but that she's engaged. And that was it. It was brief, but a nice surprise on a Friday morning at the office...especially when I wanted nothing more than to stay in bed this morning!!

Thanks for sharing that, Christy! it's obvious that most people think Apolo and Julianne would make a great couple... Hopefully they can use that to their advantage in gathering votes from week to week!

Yeah, the DJ's here were really pushing that "hooking up" factor. That seemed to be all they really wanted to talk about. But, they did have nice things to say about him when the call ended and both the DJ's said they enjoy watching him on the show.

I think that chemistry is going to work so well for them...people will be drawn to them...
