I came across this Roots press release while surfing the other night (it's nothing new, it's a year old) and as I was skimming through it, the mention of Apolo co-authoring a children's book caught my eye. Am I completely out of the loop on this one?? I know of his autobiograpahy and the 'All About Apolo' picture book, which I read he authorized, but I've not seen that he co-wrote it...but a children's book? Does anyone know anything about this and what the book title is? I've linked the article below and included the excerpt with the mention below. www.roots.com/new_canada/html/pr_ApolloOhnoAnn_Oct05.shtmlExcerpt: "Originally from Seattle, Washington, he lives at the US Olympic Training Center in Colorado. After his winning performances in Salt Lake City, Apolo became a prominent figure in the US and international media and sports scene. He co-authored a children’s book, wrote an autobiography and made numerous television appearances. People magazine named him as one of the “50 Most Beautiful People.”

I remember when I ordered my Apolo autobiography that Amazon.com listed the reading level as 9-12 years and the All About Apolo reading level as 4-8 years . The books could be considered children's books, I guess.

Yeah, I thought about that Peggy, in regards to the All About Apolo book. I searched around to see if he was listed as a co-author for that one & all I found was that he authorized the book...I couldn't find any reference to him actually co-writing it. I don't know what else they could be referring to, which I why I asked here about it.
Since the press release mentions his autobiography as well, as something seperate, I didn't think they could be referring to that one, even though it's aimed at young adults.

I agree. You could always go to his web site and use the Ask Apolo section, but then again you may never get an answer there either LOL

LOL!! That's soo true, sadly, I don't think I'd ever get an answer! I've had several questions I wanted to submit there (and they were all clean, I promise, well most anyway) but I don't bother with that anymore.
